Sure, but to think "impure democracy" would somehow be a way out of the "tyranny of the majority" argument is... fascinating. To think that increasing the level of democracy would inevitably lead to more tyranny is even more fascinating.

I mean in a representative democracy, if 50.1% vote for Nazis, Nazis can oppress whomever they want during their term. In a direct democracy, the majority have to actually want to actively pursue every part of Nazi policy for it to happen. That the current "democracy" lets the majority be tyrannised by the rich minority is just more icing on the cake of hilarity.

well, my parents didn't have one, and none of my friends ever had one, so i was never really aware of them

if you don't have a specific use case there's no reason to own one

mine is used exclusively for making various green teas and if i wasn't with sherry it'd be totally useless
