They say shit like that all the time. I've always considered it a form of character assassination. Like when Bradley Manning was charged and guys were going 'oh he's still a private after all those years in the army, guess he's guilty. I mean, I guess he's a screw up'.

That Manning thing...ugh...it did sem like he just grabbed what he could. Like finding the crypto vault open and sweeping it all into a bag. And he didn't go through the legal channels but...it's pretty clear that avenue is broken, leaving a guy with some morals no choice. And we're supposed to report shit like war crimes, so what do you do if you can't legally?

But America doesn't really seem to take that as seriously as we do.

yeah... but still when you have these big penalties about it it should only apply in the most extraordinary of cases

america seems to classify almost everything nowadays

There is a system and well, everything is classified to a certain extent. That said, over classification is a persistent problem IMO. But it's really easy to tell whats important and what isn't if you know what your doing. That said, by leaving this shit unsecured and allowing a guy they considered a security risk access...they deserved it.

If they charge and imprison him, and they will (there's virtually no chance he'll get off), then they pretty much have to do the same to his entire chain of command (they won't).
