Well, if one of you feels like having me save $30 on the second item of the previous list...

Yeah. I really should have one.
It'll also help a little (not at that particular point in my drive, just in general) once I move. My commute will be cut by at least 1/2, maybe as much as 2/3.
I mean, it's not ever great, but it hasn't been too horrific for a while. This particular incident was especially awful.

Went into the store today and got asked if we wanted tickets to the community dinner, I said I'd be happy to buy them to support the community and our centre but that we likely wouldn't go to the dinner. I should have just said "sure" and bought them, as my comment just required me to explain that I have PTSD and that large groups and noise are bad for me but no offence is meant to anyone.
Tone and body language tell us a lot, should have just lied and let people think I'm an asshole, like I usually do.

Eh, it's a small town, so if you'd bought tickets and not turned up someone would have noticed, and people talk anyway.
If just one of them decides to read up on PTSD and learns something, net benefit.

Spent this evening racing around cause our neighbour decided to do a burn across the highway from us, the winds are high (there is a burn ban) and it jumped over a hay road into my other neighbours pasture/alfalfa. Burned out hundreds of acres, jumped the highway and would have took out the dump if my other other neighbours hadn't been on top of it.
I need a new extinguisher now.

He should, his family has been farming here for a hundred years. Talking with the neighbours afterwards one tells me he did his weeks ago with snow on the ground because the area hasn't been grazed properly since 2011 means there's so much grass that even though the ground is wet, it just burns across the top. Got to see that yesterday for myself.
Poor land management.

Yeah, I know the type; my ex had an uncle that inherited the family farm, then after realising too late he was hopeless at it he wrote off all the losses to the estate and took a job with the power company. And now no one tends what remains of the orchards.

Just had an interview for a nice management job. I think it went well. I'd really rather like the position.
(Meanwhile, I'm in a holding pattern for a number of coaching jobs I really want. I know I'm a top pick for at least one of them, but they need to find money to make it worthwhile for me...)
Edit: tl;dr Straha needs money and wants not to be poor.

I have spent my entire day elbow deep in Dell quotes and it's taken forever to get any traction on anything because everything hates me and I'm on a deadline that closes today and

My Nintendo 3DS had charging problems which proved a waste of time and money to fix (at least it got MOT'd).

How can a new version of an mp3 player be less sophisticated than the old one? I brought a sandisk clip sport to replace to sansa clip plus i lost recently. Only to find they've fucked up the playlist settings. You used to be able to set it to one mode and just click 'sync' on window media player and copy existing playlists over.
now you have to fuck about endlessly to create an 'm3u' file and store in the exact same folder as the songs you want it to play.

Currently. Conservative majority of 2 with four more seats to declare.

Well, I suppose it could be worse. Better a conservative majority than conservatives that have to pander to the likes of DUP.

Shadow went to the vet today to get her senior check up (she's nine). She's had a broken tooth and a growth of some sort on her eyelid that we've put off fixing because they weren't causing problems yet, but the vet found that she had a hematoma in her ear. So, today they sedated her and fixed all of the above.
She's currently resting and recovering at my folk's house (they're semi-retired and can watch her better than me right now).
My poor puppy!

Thanks, Stofsk.
My mom told me that Shadow is feeling a little better today. She's still groggy and a whatnot because she's still on a lot of meds* but she's eating, moving around. She just hates having the stupid cone on, but it's for her own good. Without it she's scratch her stitches right off.

Well, I stopped by my parents house today to check on Shadow. She's practically back to herself, though she hates the cone she has to wear.
I took her out for a jog around the neighborhood so she could get some exercise in. She loves doing that.
