*The plot of The Matrix trilogy*

science fiction is often just religion with a few cosmetic changes
or, as ancient astronaut theorists believe, is religion just science fiction with a few cosmetic changes???
did you know star wars isn't just about gigatons and midicholorians? MIND. BLOWN.

Matrix Trilogy is more gnostic than anything else.

Can you believe people used to leave this board in droves?

I don't think there were ever enough members to form droves, honestly.

Oh boy...its probably one of the best shooters made plotwise, horrors of war, etc (player BJ's) but its very gruesome.

i think people should be forced to play this game by law

After this game, I think there is no need to make any more modern-day shooter games
big o just go and buy it and play it now
it's 'god damn' in the best possible way, in that it's one of like four games that I have ever emotionally engaged with. It uses the medium to very good effect. Its existence goes a long way to redeeming the entire military shooter genre (albeit it does so in the same way that renders any further entries in this genre pointless).
Now I think my outlook is similar to the makers of the game, so I'm kind of biased, but it is an actually moral game. It challenges the player, but not just in the trite standard video game sense of the word 'challenge'. I would dearly like to see what effect it would have on someone who buys into all that murica fuck yeah militarism shit (I would hope it would lead to introspection, but I suspect they'd actually just get all defensive and find excuses)
it also features the most terrifying words in the whole world:
'We're Delta Operators, and we're here to save you'
.

does anyone know of a non-gendered word with a meaning equivalent to 'brotherhood/sisterhood'?
there's 'comradeship' I guess but that has its own implications

isn't that just fancy for 'brotherhood'

You could use fellowship I guess. Or a thesaurus

fellowship's not a bad one, but it doesn't have the immediate familial connection of brotherhood/sisterhood, hrrm...
siblinghood? Sounds kind of lame and probably isn't a real word
hmmmm

i think the word 'family' itself is kinda close to what you want, as both noun and adjective
or maybe i just watched the godfather too recently

It's got to fit in a phrase like 'promoting peace, empathy and universal brotherhood', I don't think family really fits in there

yes, yes, yes, but see I want a word other than brotherhood/fraternity/fraternite.

i just met with the missionaries again. they thanked me for teaching them again lolololol
sometimes i feel a bit ridiculous because i like to explain some background context whenever i get into it. on one hand this is surely justified because they might not remember a particular chapter or something by number alone
...but there's times when i think i go a bit over the line in explaining things that they obviously know and know very well. i think next time ima go ahead and exaggerate it for comedic effect. "I read that in a book called the Book of Mormon, which is a tome of LDS scripture set in the Americas..."
anywho they were on foot today and the weather is just nasty so i even turned up my heat a the whopping 68 degrees, i hope they warmed up enough. being called to serve up here this year, mang, not an easy job
