dude if you read the posts be asterphage (my buddy recognizer lawl), the courts fellate Btech for being realistic and for adults and shit

and it's like, no you can't establish these traits as being unique

also lawl at Fasa admitting the Mad Cat is derived from every robot they didn't own

jeez

It's funny cause your ludicrous exposure to robit stuff means you can see stuff like 'btech got slow because of LHX ATTACK ROBIT'

Whereas 'fans' don't have hat perspective

Forcing player to manually rotate to dock (digitally and not inertially) OR DIE and be unable to do anything in the game = good

god

i still can't get over the mech-as-car paradigm thing

just

the idea that your walking robot with arms and shit has to worry about colliding with a building or something because you control it really stupidly in game is just :psyduck:

like

it might be kind of cool if you had to worry about that if you engaged sprint mode or something with different results based on size of robot (and even then I'm mostly thinking oops lost some potential cover because i wrecked a building not lol owned by wall :v ) buuuut even then

damn dudes

just let them handle like valkyries or gundams or any other big robots that do more interesting things than standing in a place and being a laser turret

EDIT:
I can see the Scout tree skill Null Signature System being very useful in an urban setting. I get stoked just thinking about it.
wha? :techno: ?

i think he means a thing that makes you not appear as a dot on the radar

because a scout is totally going to be able to run away if it exposes itself to fire

and not get shot super fast

I like the devs in the other thread who are like "no you can't alpha a Jenner leg in one go"

so can you do it in two :v

cuz it's not like weapon cool down was ever a huge issue

also honestly, most video game cars past 1994 handle better than any battlemech

they certainly accelerate fast

fucking Twisted Metal 1 is a better urban combat game

Fat people love stealth

But the laugh of people saying GET USED TO HEADSHOTS OR USE A LARGER ROBIT is awesome

And if robit cars had handbrakes I'd play this game

the TT game has these skidding rules for running on pavement

like you can skid into a building and smash it

or hit someone else

i guess that's too complex for a PC

Are they at least adding a strafing mechanic to MWO? The entire time I was playing the PC Mechwarrior games all I wanted to do was make my goddamn robot move from side to side without having to torso twist. It's the one thing I think is superior about Mechassault. I don't care if they don't ad dashes or boosters like in gundam or AC games, I just want to move from side to side dammit!

For real dude

There are no 180 degree quick turns so the robots can drift and do handbrake turns.
