Haven't you heard? Chuck Norris has a cameo in the new movie, a bearded bounty hunter.
Expendables 2 did it better.

The Expendables was an attempt to make the most 80s action movie ever created. So they cast Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis and Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren and like every single action movie star and they digitally inserted Arnold and had them run around shooting people and blowing things up.

And it did fairly well, but they realized there was one problem.

Chuck Norris was not in this movie.

So they made a sequel so they could include him.

Chuck Norris agreed, but insisted that it had to be rated PG-13 so that it would be pleasing to his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

Also I am about 98% certain that the sequel only exists so that statham could say "I now pronounce you man and knife."

i am actually pretty certain that cinema as an artform only existed so that someone, someday could experience that kind of joy

yes. there was fan backlash when they announced they wussing out on the whole point of the expendables so they went back to being R.

iirc they toned down the language a lot because of norris but when full on gore to get the r rating

No fucking way. I will give you all of my Star Wars figures if that's true.

Wait wait wait. Except Boba Fett.

I don't care how sure I am, I never risk the Fett man.

So looks like Wookieepedia has acknowledged this. There's some obvious whiney entitled brat syndrome going on ("Amen to that. We should be the ones consulted on EU knowledge. Winterz (talk) 19:07, April 26, 2014 (UTC)") but mostly reason seems to have prevailed. There is an interesting idea for a Tabbed system which has potential (ignore the snark/butthurt in the Canon section I guess).

Honestly it's the best thing that could have happened there. Like the whole Barriss Offee thing. As if she were somehow going back as a full member of the Jedi Order to get offed by Order 66. Uh huh, yeah right. And Assaj Ventress, who somehow went back to being Dooku's assassin despite the obviously different path TCW was setting her character upon?

Let's face it, this canon-cleaning was going to come sooner or later. Might as well be now, and involve a clean-sweep rather than a furor over post-RotJ EU being wiped, until such time as they make some PT-era movies/shows/whatever and decide that gets wiped and go through this all over again.

Lol, people do know that the old EU isn't gone right? They can still enjoy it without it fitting into the universe. They aren't burning the books.

Wookiepedia editors are people who have invested more time and emotion into the Star Wars Expanded universe than most fans, even those on SDN or SB. To have the universe they've worked so hard to catalog, categorize, and analyze tossed out the window has got to sting.

I bet. Yet it was Lucas's to do with as he wished (even if he utterly fucked it up) and it's not particularly surprising, he stepped on it all the time.

You're not the only one.

Fictional universes get rebooted. It happens. It's just as fictional as it was a week ago, but now a company cares a bit less about it.

considering a quote of the day, you know probably changes a lot you don't think it'd be a good idea to say what you were actually talking about.
