Can there be any doubt that 40K is one of the most awesome universes in existence?
Gundam.

(I was actually hoping for it to be a parody, but a misspelling works just as well)

Un clavier azerty en vaut deux
Ma homeboy's speakin' fancy!

PS: Google Translate says that's, "A qwerty keyboard is forearmed."

I'm guessing it lost something along the way?

The sentence literally means "An AZERTY keyboard is worth two".

It's a play on word with the French expression "Une personne avertie en vaut deux".

"azerty" sounds close to "averti", a word which can be roughly translated as "to have been made aware of / to have been warned of" ; the sentence "Une personne avertie en vaut deux" meaning literally "Someone who has been made aware / warned [of something] is worth two"

Well that makes sense, and make's Google's efforts look a little better. I guess the meaning really was...

Lost in translation. :yeah:

So just as a joke, I've been considering making a "Star Wars vs Star Trek: MMO Edition" pitting TOR against STO.

But I don't know if that's considered trolling or not. :(

TOR is better as a game, STO is better as an mmo.

Well I'm pretty sure STO would win that one easily, except maybe in terms of "voice-acted story" although from what I hear, the new Romulan expansion is probably going to bring that into serious contest against TOR.

And could board orthodoxy handle Star Trek winning? :psyduck:

As long as the USAF isn't at WarGames levels of incompetence, I'm not too worried.

Beside I read an article on that. Apparently some of the negatives were things like "shoes not shined" and "haircuts too long" and such. Not exactly end of the world stuff there.

(Yeah there were some theoretically more severe violations as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of it is mountains out of mole hills)

Just do something like a general SW games vs. ST games with multiple catagories

FPS: Elite Force I and II vs. Republic Commando and Battlefront (SW wins due to more games of higher quality)

Strategy: Armada I and II, Starfleet Command, Bridge Commander, and lots of others vs. Rebellion, Galactic Battlegrounds, and Empire at War (ST wins because Galactic Battlegrounds drags down the SW quality average)

Flight Sims: X-wing series, Rogue Squadron series, and Starfighter series Vs. Um, Star Trek Invasion? (SW wins hardcore)

RPGs: Kotor I and II vs. ok I don't think ST has any RPG games (SW wins by default)

MMOs: Star Trek Online vs. TOR and Galaxies (Close, but ST might win due to post-NGE galaxies being a festering pile of rancor shit)

None; DN! is independently produced and broadcast on things like public tv and the internet.

Everybody makes mistakes, it just made me lol a bit.
