Is it just me or does Shinobu sound an awful lot like Aya Hirano? I'm not that familiar with Maaya Sakamoto so I can't tell how normal Shinobu's sound is for her, and I wonder if she might have deliberately tried to sound like Hirano.

Asking because I watched it, and because that's the kind of Anime I'd put on The List - there's potential for some interesting discussions about it.

I remember that I wanted to rent that when I was a kid, but after I picked up Ninja Scroll from blockbuster my mom wouldn't let me rent anime anymore.

Incidentally, I want to thank Ford (again) for showing me Sword of the Stranger. That movie is shit hot and I've made most of my friends watch it on bluray.
