Stark is right. I have used my hatred for my family (not everyone) to argue points that make no goddamned fucking sense in any way whatsoever. I have not contributed anything to this discussion except utter idiocy.

See I missed my grandmother's funeral on purpose because my mothers brothers and sisters are largely assclowns, but I took the oppurtunity to go out and scatter her ashes in a park with Mom, my sister and the one uncle who isn't a half-wit. The ferry ride over to Vancouver Island was spent talking about her life and stuff she's seen and done and how much she's contributed to our outlook on life. I had thought I had made peace with the fact that she was dead before I came but the trip rammed home how much I loved her and how much I owe her.

tl;dr It's important to grieve and come to terms with this shit. Even if you don't do it in the traditional NA way.

It's good to say this

But you can understand how your feelings colour your experience and use this to deal with them
Ditch that baggage dude

Meh, critics can't really talk about Lucas' films. ANH got panned in '77.

But you should go watch Red Tails and say it's shit (even if it is really good). Shovel some coal on Raynor, he could go for 30+ pages. Again.

jimbo is stuck in a recursive Lucas cocksucking loop
stupid cunt could get stuck in a thirty page discussion over why the landspeeder effects in fucked up ANH are better than the vaseline on the lens from the originals because the almighty suckable lucas says so

"Right now, one of the biggest complaints that I see from the RT critics is that the movie should've portrayed more of the pilots' struggles with racism. Something which I don't really get, since the movie doesn't shy away from the "N word" and had all the situations that I had expected."

That's stupid. I mean, I just saw the movie The Help and was completely entertained, but it didn't do that decade justice in terms of racism. Adding more of that would have been advisable instead of attempting to get the audience to care about white assholes.

It's funny that Raynor mentions one of the worst critics currently in existence: Mr. Roger I'll-Explain-The-plot-of-This-Movie-For-Paragraphs Ebert.

What's even more funny is that he doesn't realize that the CRITICS are the ones who give their reviews a positive or a negative.

THIS REVIEW SOUNDS POSITIVE. FUCKING ROTTEN TOMATOES RUINED THE SCORE!

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, I'd rather see Underworld: Awakening than Red Tails.

I was four and a half when I first saw Star Wars (not A New Hope - it was just Star Wars back then) back in '77.

i haven't been able to bring myself to read the books or watch the movies

but everything i know about the series seems to show it pretty much ruins the whole idea of vampires being tragic inhuman monsters

now they're just sparkly elves with no real weaknesses (and probably pedophiles)

You have poor taste in friends and the fact that you would subject yourself to 3 fucking Twilight movies means you are an idiot.
