I do not dispute this. Nor can I really agree because TBH my expose to Whedon is some of early to (maybe) mid Buffy and early Angel. That's about it.

Buffy totally breaks my suspension of disbelief though. I mean seriously, it seemed like every week there would be some student (or teacher) getting killed on campus in a probably gruesome manner and under suspicious circumstances.

I mean I know the principal and mayor were in on some conspiracy or whatever, but seriously. Considering all the things parents routinely get up in arms over involving education, you'd think the routine suspicious deaths of students and faculty on campus would be one of them.

Especially when IIRC during some parent night attack they decided to blame it on gangs. An attack where, you know, people died. Seriously if that was their regular cover story that school would be locked down so tight the schools from Dangerous Minds and those other 'gang high school' movies would look like fucking Club Med.
