I finally got fed up and bought an ipad.

My Android phone is pissing me off to the point where I want to go back to an iPhone. Piece of shit keeps crashing to desktop when I'm not even touching it if I fire up a browser, and just earlier today it paused my music playback to give me a bullshit warning about playing above a certain level could damage my hearing. Fucking christ, the tinny volume I get out of it isn't any worse than what the trains do to me.

Never had a problem with my Android.

It doesn't pause the playback when I turn it up loud with earphones in, it just gives a little popup message.

My iPhone 5 has been nice. I used it to create a hotspot for my iPad the other day, it was pretty neat.

The mature age studenting in my seminars has become worse. It's come to the point where this one guy will start cutting me off, in order to say what I was going to say. When I relate a friend's observations from his time working in Egyptian museums, and their ill treatment of artefacts, he immediately came back with "That's not true at all. When I visited the museums everything looked fine" and then gives a long rant.

Dental isn't covered by OHIP because poor people don't deserve good teeth or something. My sympathies.

I'd recommend the guy who did mine but it turns out he's dead.

Not covered by the Province or my public service plan (interestingly you can get back your health insurance that we had in the army but not the dental portion).

I can afford it but the money is kinda earmarked for the farm. The orthodontist does want to wait till shes twelve, so I guess we'll save what we can on top of what we've got. I just don't want some idiotic monthly payment.

Or maybe I can find some affordable dental insurance.

Wonderful isn't it? Teeth are the start of the digestive system and essential to eat, but Ontario won't even cover cleanings and exams. Even though we know that prevenative care is cheaper then waiting for your teeth to falll out.

Hell, I have a cavity I keep putting off getting cleared out for no other reason than that I know the price tag is going to be ridiculous.

Which just makes it more expensive when I finally do get it done, of course.

But at least I have the money to do it now.

I need to get a crown put on one of my teeth because they messed up filling a cavity and now the tooth is cracked. They spent months telling me the pain was just my nerve being irritated until one of the assistants noticed the crack.

Even with insurance, my share is going to be over $450. Yay.
