Takeru's enthusiasm for this is being increasingly exceeded by his desire to not die. like they got word there was a BETA incursion marching towards their position and was told to arm himself and standby in case the army didn't stop it.
everyone's voice started sounding far away

and even when they got the all clear he fainted like a champ
also fun fact. because of the development of displays projected directly into the pilot's retinas, LCD technology did not develop as much as it did in the regular world which made Takeru's out place Game Guy seem
I gotta say even though I enjoyed the Extra part of Muv-luv, I find the Unlimited version of the characters to be much more down to Earth and easier to relate to. Like Meiya is just a very formal and studious person instead of anime Richie Rich with super bank account powers
