hey now they can be good
the last of us is one big escort mission, and it's awesome
though it helps that the enemies can't see the person you're escorting unless they're face-up in attack mode

it also help if the thing you're escorting has a good enough AI and combat abilities to be able to hold up its own during combat. If you have to constantly baby-sit the escorted, though...

JOEL: *get ambushed by a clicker*
ELLIE: Motherfucker! *chucks brick at its head*
I love that game so much
I just wish it wasn't a PS3 exclusive, because I think a lot of people here would get it

Oh my god:
In GTA V when I was introduced to the third and final playable character (an evil, frighteningly smart redneck, Trevor Phillips) he is killing a main protagonist from one of the GTA IV storylines.
After the jewel shop heist and the opening story missions with TP, GTA V opens up dramatically (the first two characters have relatively little money and couldn't afford the equipment to properly explore San Andreas).
OK, I must be around 3/4s of the way through the story mission of GTA V and this is arguably the best "action" mission so-far and similar in tone with the Saints Row stuff:
The bank may have been a illicit shadow bank used by crooked elements in the US Federal Government, hence why the armed response to the robbery was so unusually heavy, with the local cops supported by several NOOSE tactical teams and Army troops.

Hey so
Armored Core Verdict Day (lol) is out
Fuck me it is so much harder than ACV
Like I went in expecting it to be to ACV what For Answer was to AC4 and NOPE got utterly mashed on the first mission

I would assume they've already paid it. Can anyone tell me if GTAV has an online code thing or could I just get it from the local games store once someone sells it?

so apparently there is advance warning that Half-Life 3 might get announced soon.
The trademark was registered in the EU a few days ago, and several voice actors working with Valve and related to the Half-Life franchise had to change their convention-going schedule at the last time due to "work related" reasons.
Of course there's no real clue as to when the announcement is going to be made IF there is going to be an announcement, but there's at least some signs that it might come out before the end of this decade

Sometimes I regret selling my PS3. I want to play Beyond: Two Souls.

IIRC you have to make an account on the Rockstar Social Club thing, but whether or not that ties a copy of the game to that account I'm not sure.
Haven't seen anything about reselling it anywhere yet. Apparently it's on eBay though so I'd assume you can? I suspect we'll know for sure in a week or so as it happens. Right now all my Google searches are just stuff about it selling out and so forth.
