i think the secular morality thread is veering into unprovable territory
"how do you know humans don't secretly rely on instincts, or bears secretly don't do value judgements"
fascinating questions, but bears and such things ought to be irrelevant to discussions of morality
how did they even get to that point
wait wat
"Lots of the basics of our own moral construct relies on instinct. This is why sociopaths exist at all."
i don't even

waitwaitwait it's becoming the thread of the day
"Thus from an evolutionary perspective and a purely selfish one, pro-social behaviour is advantageous and should be encouraged"
if it increases the fitness, it is moral! we are of course hard-wired to know what "pro-social" means (it means kill the undesirables
)
so glad we can finally rid us of the whole of western value theory and just make shit up
incidentally, arguing that humans have instincts for morality makes the discussion that morality is "for" something meaningless, because instincts are per definition automatic, can't be prevented and present in every member of a species. morality would happen regardless of what anyone declared it was for

you're talking about the level in revelations where you're killing the dudes that robbed them to make them think there's a gypsy curse, right
that was an odd decision on the developers' part

Actually I was just sort of going by how AssCreed is generally quite sympathetic to people who operate outside normal society and how 'normal society' is basically the Templars.
I had actually forgotten what the Roma mission in AssRev was

Worcester Polytechnic.
The most I got out of it was my friends, but that's mostly my fault for not knowing wtf I wanted to do.
College is wasted on college students.

Recentism is a symptom of Wikipedia's dynamic and immediate editorial process, and has positive aspects as well—up-to-date information on breaking news events, vetted and counter-vetted by enthusiastic volunteer editors, is something that no other encyclopedia can offer.
Hahahaha
