So it took me about four years but I have completed FFXIII

It feels somewhat appropriate to have done so in this year

Also to quote Jay-Z fuck the haters

It was great

So yay, I got my alt in STO up to Captain rank. Now I have to fly a Galaxy for the next seven levels. :(

Uh you could fly a Defiant or an Intrepid instead

But I'm an Engineer! :(

That and I already used the token so nuts. Still shouldn't be too bad, between the Vet and Q XP bonuses I go up like two grades per mission now. That's why I was already 33 by the time I got the Galaxy.

I won a PS Vita. It came with a voucher for a bunch of download games. Best one so far: the PSP version of Gran Turismo.

What's worth playing on this thing? I'm out of the loop console-wise and this is my first *spit* 'play' 'station'.

I'm a huge fan of Persona 3 Portable assuming you pick correctly and play as a girl

I'm not really into Japanese RPGs set in high schools. I'll need sone convincing and/or a demo.

It's so slooooooow and turns terrible. At least from what I remember last time I went through Captain with one.

I don't know why, but for some reason the Fed Romulan Front missions seem to suck a lot worse than any of the others. :(

Something can be set somewhere without that being what it's about.

everything I know about persona is that the 'high school' part is both the least important and least interesting, taking a back seat to 'twisted psychological introspection as freudian super-monsters punch the shit out of each other as you try to solve mysteries to a backdrop of the darkly supernatural"

but i've never actually played a persona game so idk

tbh persona 3 has a bunch of high school dating/hangout shit

that was a lot of the appeal to me :L

but yeah it's also a powerfully thematic game the runs with the theme further than I see almost any other game try to do

If I have the choice I always play as a girl

I don't know whether this makes me sexist or says something about my upbringing with three sisters for siblings.

I don't think I would characterise the games or the elements thereof in such a way, no

It's only really Persona 4 Arena that gets away with having mostly excised the school life stuff, and that's because, you know, it's a fighting game :v

so MGS4. When ever replaying this I'm amazed how they managed to stick a shitty enforced stealth section in to a stealth game.

stupid act 3.
