Well, slug can mean any number of things, but since we're talking engineering I'm going to presume you mean the idiotic unit from the English system that is used since they didn't bother to distinguish between mass and weight (or, broadly, force).

Super long threads cause crazy server load (because the server is largely shit, and vbulliten is crap software), and sb.com some how got upto the top 3 on a really popular news story which ment all the search engine bots where crawlling this rather long thread every few minutes.
