Fetishistic comics, totally. She even have a whole website dedicated to it, IIRC.

Racist, I'm not sure. Could you dig me up some evidences ? I don't remember seeing any comic where Humon was being genuinely racist herself (she often touch upon race in her comics, but only to decry racism in general AFAIK).
No.

How many times will there be a thread on that place where someone asks "If people do things that are immoral, isn't that a problem with them and not the moral system they used?" and they have to have it painstakingly explained that no, it is in fact a problem with both them and the moral system they use.

Fucking fatty nerds who think morality can be boiled down to complex algebra (and what better way to keep it out of the hands of the masses?). :psyduck:
"Is it not part of being erotically experienced, however, to know that the desire to enter the other can lead one to the wrong entrance?" - Peter Sloterdijk

Political compass is a fun tool

I wish I'd done one every six months for the last ten years and then made an animated gif of them all

I think the political compass guys make a pretty good point on their website about things getting subsumed into the two megalithic 'left' and 'right', which simplifies things far too much & probably does act against useful conversation

of course, boiling it down to left/right authoritarian/liberal isn't much better

But it still is better

The problem is that try as they might, so many of the questions are too subjective

well
in a way it's better, maybe when you're talking about international politics I guess
but with UK politics, for example, there are certain social views that skew heavily to the right wing, and some that skew to the left. It's not 100%, but if someone is saying KEEP OUT THE IMMIGRANTS you can make a pretty good guess that they're not a socialist

so the plain left/right thing has it's uses, but blargh even then it's a bit woolly & reflects changes in the general culture

I came up left of stalin & more liberal than mandela
Honestly trying to measure & categorise your political beliefs using an online questionnaire is pretty useless, and that would be the case with two axes or two hundred

POLITICAL PARTY PLATFORM SURVEY

Barack Obama inherited a big mess in the economy and has done a good job making the best of it while accomplishing other successes like killing of Osama bin Laden and deserves to be reelected.

Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

_ Agree
_ Disagree

Gift:

_ Yes, I support PARTY X and I have enclosed a gift of (circle one) $25 $50 $100 $500 $1000 $2400 with this survey

_ No, I want PARTY Y to win the election and ruin the economy so the terrorists win.

(both from a real survey btw, but this is my memory of it. OK, "so the terrorists win" wasn't literally in that second one... but you get hte serious gist of it)

yea, but i know my neighbors in one case at least are just a retired couple. now their kids visit a lot but still the difference is just huge.

check this out:
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the average American produces about 4.4 pounds (2 kg) of garbage a day, or a total of 29 pounds (13 kg) per week and 1,600 pounds (726 kg) a year. This only takes into consideration the average household member and does not count industrial waste or commercial trash.
from a second hand source the internet so i know it is reliable

jesus h christ. i know we have this stupid consume and dispose culture

but god damn we're a wasteful country

When dad was still living down here, we'd generate a full bin each week, and a full recylcing bin each fortnight as per the collection periods

I would be able to go three weeks without putting the bin out if it weren't for sanitary concerns

So either he's crazy on the byproduct or I'm a hoarder

COULD BE BOTH :psyduck:

That sucks. I have no such problems with Android. HAHA APPLEZ YOU SUXXORS. Joking aside, I don't know why mkv files aren't supported by stock players.
