I'm hoping for a swamp thing style ending where the two spirits merge
or something
probably a vain hope lol

So turns out the whole 'let a kid take you to the spirit world, when she's never been before' thing backfired spectacularly. Who-da-thunk it?
Iroh and Wan-Shi-Tong both seemed a little fanservicey to me. But I guess I wouldn't complain if they were fanservicing the people I want to know about. (Suki/Sokka mainly). The think happy thoughts to calm spirits and Dragon bird plots both seemed to be childishly easily resolved to me. As well, but its briefly seemed like it was all a set up by Unalokk.
i didn't really miss the Mako plot until the credits rolled either.

Man. They really wrapped up the Varrick plotline quick didn't they? I mean that took what, Five minutes?
Still totally worth watching to see the ending of this episode though. The animators of this show do a kickass job setting up the atmosphere. The music and visuals when Vaatu breaks free are positively chilling.
The promo for the finale looks awesome too.

Also, unless it's a scam, the Finale will be uploaded to Nick.com tonight at midnight. I expect it will be on the torrents an hour later.

just watched the finale, it was pretty great
man I was kind of thinking that Jinora was going to do a princess Yue and become the next avatar spirit. Or something. Especially when her sister was all: 'look, there's Jinora, and she's... beautiful!'
also aang should totally have told tenzin 'well look I may be the avatar, but you're clearly the better father' rather than some vague self-affirmation stuff
poor Zhao
Unalaq turned out to be moo hoo ha ha and so did Vaatu but oh well, the rest of the episode was pretty good, if only for the pretty imagery and fucking the status quo
Korra should have tried harder to convince the president to send the fleet. Or at least some ships. But oh well.
Speaking of ships, Makorra (or should that be Koko?) looks to be sunk. Time for the one true ship i.e. Korrasami I think :giggity:
and anyway they really shook things up. Could have done without the big old expositiony speech at the end. I probably would have left things with Korra deciding whether or not to close the portal.
9/10 would watch again

they broadcast or put online all the last four episodes yesterday. They also had a double bill to start with and a couple of weeks ago. They've really been trying to get them out as quickly as possible for some reason.

This kinda sounds like they expect it to bomb and want to replace it with something else.

would you care to elaborate upon what was so terrible about them? The tree and Savior!Jinora things kind of came out of nowhere but the rest was pretty cool.

lol do you mean besides bullshit last gasp of makorra
or every female character besides maybe jinora being incompetent and either serving as pretty backgrounds to show off how good the men are (ugh lin what happened) or just fucking everything up constantly (hi korra)
or how bolin's been handled since halfway through season 1
or how the entire plot was a series of things being stopped only whoops nevermind let's do it anyway
I guess it was ok then :L

The Ginger thing was definitely bothersome, but the poor relationship writing did not bother me because I do not give a single fuck about shipping at all. I think this season did a decent job adding to the Avatar mythology, despite it's flaws and so-so characterization.

I didn't care about the shipping either and that's why makorra must be destroyed
oh hey in this new series the avatar's a girl you know what that means LOVE TRIANGLLLLEEEEES
first three episodes of the third season are out, and it's pretty good so far. It looks like it's setting up for
the earth queen is going to try and invade Republic City with an army of airbenders
and also hopefully there will be a popular revolt and the Avatar will pick the right side unlike that fucking arsehole Kyoshi. I think we've seen the last of the earth monarchs, what with the theme being 'change'
Also Kai is awesome
