i kno rite

Gundam = cultural icon people take their kids to see

btech = who the fuck cares

Honestly Stark the PG is kinda old at this point. Gunpla has progressed so much since then it's pretty amazing. I like mine but it suffers for its age compared to newer kits.

the Real Grade which is based on that statue has all the details at 1/144th scale and it even has a mostly full skeleton

The old pgs especially don't look very good

But it seems like 144 is where they're focusing their stuff these days

Hey veef what is up with the robot damashi stuff being so espensive

yeah 1/144th provides the most range for the most subjects and is generally cheaper to make

about them prices

besides the total Yen dominance?

well they were always more high end than the old Mobile Suit in Action figures

or are you talking buying second hand cuz the prices on ebay and what not are getting stupid

I kinda wanted the Byalant Custom but it's an exclusive so all the middleman shit just adds up too much

Revoltechs are so fucking cheap to make mang

the modular joint system means every major part is just a big chunk of PVC you stick joints into

they probably spend more on the paint than the plastic

the only issues are usually the diameter of each hole for the joints being too tight or too loose but that's easy to fix with some glue or nail polish

also most Revoltechs are still hand sculpted so sometimes you might notice some asymmetry

I'm not huge on the line but I really like the ones I got

So are the damashi stuff not just action figures? Do they have pinned joints or something?

yeah they've got all the bells and whistles

Lots of them hollow pins Bandai is so fond of right now. Also some POM plastic for durability and really sharp molding.

One of the other CDX guys is on an RD kick and he got the RD Unicorn as well as the GFFN Full Armor Unicorn toy. The GFFN figure's shoulder broke within a day which made him wonder why Bandai bothered creating an inferior base toy when they already made the RD :v

why are the shoulders and hips on the PG Gundam held on by really short, thick pegs

or right we need that pointless four piston moving joint gimmick that's too stiff to use properly anyways

Attn peeps

Recommend me some fucking anime

I think cowboy bebop is pretty much the best thing ever

Ghost in the shell is pretty cool too

Would prefer to avoid emotionally crippled teenagers

Does this disqualify 90% of anime y/n?

I'll have to ask because I think he might be using whatever official translations are available.

He was the guy re-subbing the remastered DVD set for Macross just because he disagreed with Animeigo's subtitles :>

He tries to avoid honorifics. Like he was telling about how he might translate Exedore's peculiar "da na" in his sentences. Basically it means he talks like an old guy.

Senpai though is impossible to translate :c

hey so Aquarion EVOL is pretty fun so far

I watched the first couple of episodes of the first series a few years ago and wasn't too enthralled, but this seems more fun somehow

might try watching that OVA also
