Oh and I love KS's "video is too poor quality" horseshit. That's some of the best grade security video I've ever seen. You can make out every detail on the motherfuckers face. He has no broken nose, he has no swollan lip, and he has no blood on his shirt. There may be some on his jacket but it's impossible to tell due to its color, and we'll likely never know now since I'm sure Zimmerman has gotten rid of all of the evidence. If Martin was on top of him like that murderer says he was he'd be covered in martins blood, too. So either Martin was never on top of him, or he backed off when he saw the gun.

See, that's why I like Michigan's self defense laws. Here you have a reasonable "duty to retreat." Even if you feel your life is in danger, you don't have the right to use lethal force unless there's no obvious way to escape. If that had happened here, Zimmerman would've forefitied his right to self defense when he chose to follow martin even though the police told him not to.

I think it's kind of bullshit that the police in FL can just let someone go like that before they even have a proper autopsy done.

Well the fucked up thing is that the lead investigator was going to charge him and the Chief of Police and district attorney stepped in and said no. But you want to know what's really fucked? In FL there is a speedy trial law that gives them only 175 days to prosecute after an arrest or the case gets tossed. And there are some legal experts saying that even though he wasn't formally arrested, read his rights, and charged with anything, he could get away with it even if the new prosecutor and grand jury choose to indict him because since he was cuffed it was a "defacto arrest". Though not everyone agrees with that.

But the biggest mistake or malpractice by the police was in not testing Zimmerman for drugs or alcohol, which would have been done had he been processed.

My theory of the crime is that he was drunk (he sounded like he was on the 911 logs) saw a "fucking coon" in his neighborhood, chased him down, shot Martin after instigating a fight, and then told an easily dis proven lie at the scene. Being drunk and carrying a firearm, driving, or even being out in public are all "unlawful acts" which would mean the "stand your ground" law doesn't apply.

I think if you're in your car or house you have a right to meet force with force aka "stand your ground". However this bullshit where if you're walking down the street and get into a fight and whoever has the weapon and kills the other guy walks is just insanity. They liken it to the wild west, but they had stricter gun control laws then than we do now.

Walking down the street, in the Florida law*, you do not have a duty to retreat. That doesn't (or shouldn't) apply here because he picked a fight. If you pick a fight, you have no right to kill.

Thing is, when there's no witnesses you could, theoretically, kill someone and then get off scot-free if you claim self-defense. The problem here being that he, I think obviously, instigated things and the police fucked up.

*Of course, I'm not a lawyer and have pieced this together over what I've read so take it with a grain of salt.

Shep, given my history with him (coordinating the Weekend of Hell and some other events) I will give some credit to for being a very conscientious troll in some things he says/does rather than just an ignoramus (not saying he's never the latter).

Unlike some other folks who don't understand what people think of them and thus don't exploit that for the comedy option at times.
