When it was announced that Zimmerman was going to have charges brought against him, she predicted that it would be manslaughter because she didn't think they'd have enough evidence for murder 2. About two and a half hours later, it was confirmed that he was being charged with second degree murder.

Depraved indifference is all they really need to prove and considering you hear Martin on the 911 call all but begging for his life before being shot...

i figured they didn't have enough for murder 1, but murder 2 or manslaughter might have been doable (less wiggle room for manslaughter)

I would have changed the order and added an "of"

The way I parse that is that "black teen" is modifying murderer.

In other words, they're saying that the black teen, zimmerman, was taken into custody.

yeah though i've kinda gotten used to imperfect English

they did elaborate on the charges in the actual report anyway

maybe they're just like american news

they don't expect a lot of people to read past the headline

Anyways, even if SW can only produce KT range firepower for it's lighter weapons and MT level for the big guns, that still puts it above anything the Yamato's got short of the Wave Motion Cannon, doesn't it? You're talking about a ship designed to be able to fight off multiple Kilometer-plus long warships and come out ahead. As for the lack of point defense, how many cosmo tigers does the Yamato carry anyways? 'cause I think they'd be pretty heavily outnumbered by the hundreds of TIEs an SSD can carry. They can't ram the bridge if they've been overrun and shot down.

But like you said it's irrelevant because the Yamato has the power of plot on it's side and that can't be quantified. If an SSD were going up against another EDF warship like the Andromeda, I'd give it to the Executor hands down, but the Yamato went against four carriers and got the shit bombed out of it and still won.
