seeing as the only thing martin did to provoke zimmerman's interest was walking through the neighborhood at night... i'm thinking it's zimmerman that jumped to conclusions.

Aussie public school debate class is the best!

BTW I did not know princess was duchess, silly me. and princess, if you really think Z man was fantasizing about being able to legally shoot someone dead then you need to show proof or it's just an opinion with no weight.
I'll see if Shep still has the link to the thread on AR-15 that he was in that illustrated the point. A lot of chest beating guys talking about "It's my RIGHT to use LETHAL FORCE if someone asks for my wallet with a knife! And my TACTICAL instructor said I need to DRAW AND SHOOT INSTANTLY WITH NO HESITATION TO WIN". Like 20 goddamned pages of this as Shep tries to explain how easily this attitude can get you justly arrested as a murderer. I don't know if Zimmerman was one of those kind of guys, but I do think those guys need to be taught a lesson.

Uh yeah genius that's why I'm mocking the idea you'd show this same brain dead support for the dead guy if he'd ACTUALLY been a criminal and had a gun and simply shot the fat guy by standing his ground against attackers

Because we all know you wouldnt because you're a giant hypocrite

Hey ducgess it's funny right cause in non-insane countries carrying a weapon is recognized as an expression or admission of fear
And fear makes people angry and reckless

Carrying a gun doesn't make you a big tough man saving the world one dead black guy at a time
It makes you a giant pussy with a gun in it's hand

American culture glorifies violence to such a level that I don't think comparisons are possible (p.s. the last time I actually carried a pistol was in November when driving over a snowy mountain pass in case I got stranded).

Yeah I appreciate it's a huge cultural gulf

But it's still funny in a sad way, because American culture seems to be driven by fear
Of course heaps of other cultures are too

STOP THE BOATS LOL

it's not just a glorification of violence, it's literally a devaluation of life in general

We can't have niggers wearing hoodies in the rain walking around at dusk with candy and iced tea goddamnit. This is America, not some socialist paradise like Canada.

Flagg I realise you're mocking an obvious racist, but even so, it would be preferable if you neglected the use of racial slurs in the process.

lol at zimmerman getting his head smashed into the ground

remember how he immediately had to go to the hospital for a brain injury and wasn't up and walking around with no visible injuries

oh, oh shit

ps i love how martin walking home from the store becomes "some guy who doesn't live there looking in people's houses"

Its interesting to watch the thought process, black+hoody+grill+pot at school=thug and attempted murderer.

Articles about how to avoid blacks, but racism doesn't exist?

Yo Aaron,

I figured it would be useful for firing shots to be located, dealing with some dangerous animals, personal protection against someone stopping to "help" if you're broken down or stuck who actually has bad intentions, and the cartridges could be used to start a fire if nothing else in circumstances where a lot of other things won't. This may be the fact I was raised by conservative survivalists, but I was generally taught that having some kind of sidearm in adverse weather conditions was appropriate. There isn't cell phone service to speak of up there and traffic can be somewhat rare on some roads. In general I have the right to carry but only really exercise it on long distance road trips and occasionally when going into the inner city in some specific combination of circumstances that leaves me feeling more vulnerable than usual; i.e., a couple times a year, tops.

It's cool, that's what I figured. I would have brought a 12 gauge but that's cause I don't own a sidearm.

Yeah, I don't have a shotgun right now, just three pistols (and two are collector pieces, they can be fired but they're not terribly useful guns), and a Marlin 982 (.22 magnum with 7-round mags, bolt action) for target shooting.

Randomly--is 7.62mm x 38R considered a legal pistol calibre in Canada, Aaron? It comes out to .30 on the US measurement, not a .32. Some are rechambered for .32 ammo but I know those would be illegal; I'm talking about the originals. Anyway it just seems incredibly odd that Canada bans .25 ACP and .32 but doesn't ban the heavier traditional mankiller rounds. I guess this is about concealability, but it still seems the opposite of common sense.
