Do you mean the totally arbitrary US definition which has never been settled between the Air Force and NASA and never made any sense? The definition which
didn't even exist when they made up the term 'astronaut'? The definition which only matters to head-up-their-own-ass pedants who need to disparage the achievements of another person because they've never achieved anything in their life and never will?
That definition?

No, the one not entirely agreed upon but most liberally defines it as someone who has gotten at least 50 miles of altitude. But I love how bent out of shape you are about it.

ADR -
What do you think about the new CA primary system (State legislature only, right now, I think)?
EDIT: In case you don't know, it's an automatic runoff for everything but the presidential primary and non-partisan office (which is straight plurality) (I was wrong), and California votes so late we're irrelevant in the presidential primary anyway.
As for the way the US primary system was designed? I really can't excuse it. It's not like a lot of other stuff where at least you can say that it MIGHT have made some sense when it was designed. The primary's only 100 years old, and the modern system was developed in '72.

this is all i've heard about it, but it sounds much better
there's so many good ideas spread around the states
there's oregon's amazing vote by mail system too that i envy
alas most of us are buried in bullshit
it is weird watching all these foreign news where they get voter turnouts in the 80%+ and that's kinda normal for them
people are enthusaiastic about their purple thumbs and stuff
americans are often "meh"
but i say blame the system not the individuals
