the plot of the second mission episode is that spider tank is the remnants of a secret project to create a robot that is controlled by the pilot's brainwaves

later on they find the designer and she laments she pushed too far and hooked the pilot directly into the machine because in fiction scientists cannot help but do that

it's all for pushing the edge and being the best

So, I haven't given Watamote a watch yet, but given Veef mentioned it in passing a week or two ago, I thought this might interest some here :

I've been using gg's subs for Attack on Titan and they've fallen behind a couple weeks. It's getting pretty hard to avoid spoilers on tumblr anymore, but I'm still waiting for gg

at what point did this turn from insistence on consistency in subs into just being a stubborn ass

The two people I know who enjoy watamote the most don't just see themselves in it because of social awkwardness, but see themselves in the full extent of her experiences with disorder-level social anxiety and isolation.

I can definitely see where the article's coming from and the comic makes me kind of uncomfortable which is why I haven't read much, but apparently it is helping some people? Even though it's probably making things worse for others so who knows

Also, I just watched the first episode of Watamote. That's... man. I had to pause a bit toward the end of the episode.

This is so pathetic. In the emotional sense of the word, not the judgmental one.

Yeah Tomoko reminds me a lot of the people I knew from high school. All of us weirdos in the Japanese language class who were also in the anime club. And we all watched Weiss Kreuz.

I basically just watch it because it's like a horror show

I mean I laugh at it but tend to feel bad about it afterwards

That said I don't really have a great deal of sympathy for Tomoko. I mean yes she is so socially awkward it looks like a disorder but she also has a pretty nasty personality.

Is anyone out there as much of as sub snob as I am able to recommend me a good group to go with while waiting for gg to pick up Titan again? Should I just go with Crunchyroll or are any of the other groups like particularly better or anything for this show?

Is gg usually pretty accurate for subs? I've used them for lots of series, going all the way back to Macross Frontier.

I think i'm using HorribleSubs more often now, because their stuff seems to come out quicker and seed a little better.

Yeah Horrible just uses Crunchyroll's but lets you pirate the higher res versions.

I used to have issues with GG due to their use of slurs but they haven't done that in a while (or at least that I've seen) and I really like their style of translation that goes much for translating the intent rather than just translating the words. Plus they used to keep the commercials in which was always fun but no more I guess.
