Reused animation? Or deliberate homage? Either way I'm not sure it's a huge deal. Even the Disney Animated Canon reused animation.

More about the fact that on the first one she's alone and in distress, while in the second she has all her friends around here and is happy ? Something like that...

I would really really like to see how Kamawori and/or Anno would handle FiM
It's the little differences, you know, like power-up cuts and eye catches and such

So, I've been showing ponies to my students to get them interested in practicing listening/speaking English. Today two or three of them described Princess Luna as "sexy."
I'm not sure if I should be concerned or proud.
Oh who the hell am I kidding? I'm totally proud.

Oh what I wouldn't give for a five minute conversation with my students about their kids' behavior.
Actually, I was kind of wondering the other day if I could start showing them anthro fanart to slowly turn them into furries.
You know, as an experiment.
I was convinced this wouldn't be a good idea, but it seems to be happening anyway.

Look just have them start watching Rescue Rangers.
I understand that's how most furries got started.

I think you're both right; Robin Hood planted the concept and Rescue Rangers consolidated the position. Gadget, you know.

And Biker Mice From Mars and Swat Kats hit it home.

Swat Kats was awesome, but I don't really remember it having any furry bait.

yeah sure
edit:
http://swatkats.info/feral-lieutenant-felina
eh to be fair there's some kind of weird trend where most female character in "furry" show tend to err on being more human-like
it's like they're afraid of committing all the way

To be fair to SWAT Kats though, I don't recall any moments of Callie Briggs or Felina Feral being a (har har) sex kitten. Nothing that was explicit fanservice about them, they just happened to be female characters in a show about anthropomorphic felines.
IIRC Rescue Rangers had an episode where they put Gadget in a sexy red dress. Or some other character who looked like Gadget. Something like that.

@ Ralin : so what you're saying is that you're replaying the scenario of the movie "
The Wave", but instead of turning them into fascists you'll turn them into furries ?
...
Now I'm imagining a student shooting himself on stage while in a fursuit when you finally reveal it was all wrong all along.

Nah, my contract ends in two and a half months, I figured I'd just let the school deal with any consequences.
