the coolest thing i could think of is taking a picture or sound right out of the brain

for example there's this voice i heard in a commercial

but man extracting information is dubious because the information doesn't exist as video; the video is recreated when recalled

I want those guys to give some clarification on the dumb Kickstarter thing.

Why?

Because I want to know whether or not people backing it will eventually end up in some international paedophilia investigation for "providing funding for a grooming / distribution service".

eh, at the rate they're going they have approximately zero chance of meeting their goal so the backers won't have actually contributed anything

3 grand a day for a year.

the way kickstarter works is that unless they meet that minimum goal by the time limit then they literally get zero money

So what happens to the actual money?

Yeah, only if they meet their goal does the money get paid.

And they're totally going to hit their goal. I'm sure their marketing plan of "post on some forums and spam reddit" is going to pay off any day now.

not even kidding, i described almost exactly their business model in a usenet debate in 2007 as a way to secure funding in a hypothetical world with no copyright laws

i dunno if you know this but infinite people invented everything before it was officially invented

they just never did anything about it
