Did someone actually do this? Because this is 1) incredibly stupid in several ways, 2) a blatant lie, and 3) an obvious attempt to try to score points with some imaginary girl that might be reading it who would have to be brain damaged not to pick up on parts 1 and 2.
Reminds me of
this rant about "Nice Guys".

Simon Jester: Her postcount
Phantasee: The scowl on her face when she notices I am paying attention to her
Stuart: The logistical network required to bring together the materials in one place for the support hose covering those delicious cankles
Havok: The sandwich she's holding, or lack thereof
Coffee: The smell of her ass, also the rest of the ass.
Colfax: The sweat on my forehead and pee in my pants
Flagg: Her cock
Shroom: The lack of blood pouring from her milkbags.
Spanky: The expression on her face when she sees me through the window, or her taint as I watch through the sewer grate in the sidewalk.
Sheppard: Allow me to show you on this graph my preferred areas.
Alyeska: No time to waste on women, Stark is posting in my goddamned forum and must be taught a lesson.
Oscar Wilde: Her mane and hooves.
RayCav: Her entrails.

from the nice guy rant
Nice Guys think that they will never meet anyone as special as she is. They use their adoration as a foundation for claiming that "no one will ever love her as much as I do." Instead of being a profound statement of their devotion, this is a subtle, but nasty insult. It is akin to saying to her: "You are a difficult person, and only *I* can ever truly love you, so be thankful I'm here."
lulz! i was writing a song called HATE STORY earlier today
it includes these two lines:
"murder me juliet and you will always be alone
you're an ugly bitch who spends too much time on the phone"
and it's liek the same thing!
is the only difference between a psycho abuser and a nice guy honesty?????

batmang thinks the Empire will spam probe droids to map out a system
because that's totally what happens in the movie
not Vader using force powers to make sure

i briefly went over the math about that in a recent reply to him too but just did it again

Uhhh the Hoth system was already mapped though, the probe droids weren't doing cartography.

it landed to find the hidden underground base, not to find out where the orbital tracks where
then again the droid didn't look equipped for astrography

i'm assuming they would want to look at the surface to determine if a planet is a strategic target worth bombing
idk if that really needs landing but surely i'd mean at least doing a few orbits

yeah i think it's fair to say we haven't seen probe droids that are equipped as rapid mapping would require
i mean that guy was a dude with a gun and some cameras, not very useful beyond 'there is a star here' unless he used his real sensors to decide the planet was interesting enough to land on
it'd be pretty lucky if it just happened to descend right next to the rebel base after all

New Jedi Order. Mon Cal shoots a ship from the outer reaches of the Coruscant system to pull off a superweapon hoax. Then it got included in the ICS, with a max distance of between Pluto's aphelion and perihelion. It's not something they regularly pull off in combat, but on the other hand they do engage at 1000km+ ranges according to RoTJ.

It wasn't even necessairly looking for an underground base, remember it found the shield generator on the surface. It probably had just enough ability to pop into a system, scan it, and then go down to check if there was anything interesting. A planetary shield generator stands out on a world that is supposed to be uninhabited and the technology on the droid was probably just sophisticated enough to detect that before heading in for a look.
I think the probe droids as depicted in ESB aren't capable of the navigation it would take to completely map a new galaxy. I think Star Wars has artificial intelligences and droids capable, but not the ones depicted in ESB and it is possible that the Empire does not have the droids necessary to do so (nor do they have a need for them). Using Separatist designs and/or technology they could probably come up with something, but it wouldn't be probe droid spam that's for sure. Navigating new routes in hyperspace is supposed to be quite difficult, which is why it took a very long time for the SW galaxy to become as interconnected as depicted.

in my fanfic the droids can detect settlements etc from space, and that one landed to check it out because vader had tweeted 'god damn you stupid robots no more moonshine stills for fuck'
picture of military powerplant = conclusive
