Should we just start over with all new admins/mods, and allow banned members back in?

well, what do we mean by 'new' admins? the ones we had before would would be just as good candidates this time, if redimp or duckie show their faces again, and if not i guess we'll get new ones anyway (or perhaps los as universal autocrat???)

as far as banned members, i'd be inclined to let them back in but for pre-liminary evidence that shows that mr coffee is still a butthurt fuckwit

I just mean pick admins and mods from the pool of members we have, rather than just setting up the status quo. As far as banned members, we only banned who, coffee and tubbs?

Yeah I can get behind Gands as an admin. I'd like to be a mod, with the caveat that if I break the rules I get permbanned.

Oh yeah, I'm not talking about the 3 people that have already signed up, I mean when most of the prior boards members show up. I just think we should have a fresh start, even if it's with some of the same staff.

i mean, i'm not saying that we absolutely need to have the same set-up as before else all is lost

just that we arrived at the last configuration for good reasons and the same good reasons persist

To be honest, I wasn't entirely thrilled with the way the admins we had handled a certain situation, and while I don't think that says we need to have all new admins, I'd at least like to see some new blood without just dumping the old admins.

That said, IMO we were moving in the right direction in the weeks before NT went down, so I'm not making a major deal out of anything, I'm just tossing ideas out there. Plus I'd like to see some longtime members (such as myself) given meaningless power.

Well obviously I want to be a mod because I've said as much pretty straightforwardly. But in addition to that, I'd like to mix things up as far as who the admins are goes. But again, it's not a huge deal to me.

maybe we can make him a powerless mod, so that if he tries to lock a thread, the button is rewired to instead ban himself for a day

but he can go around and be all "i've got my eyes on you buddy"

i am a scholar and a gentleman of noble blood and magnanimous bearing so clearly i should be one

adr is the wizard

i dunno that all sounds good to me

i think that what's important is to have dudes/ dudettes who are chill and rational but can still take action if something is affecting the board

Pretty much my feeling on the matter. My main concern is that they don't make kneejerk decisions and try to handle things in a chillaxed and mature manner.

so i guess we're in agreement

i would also nominate stofsk or uraniun but idk if they'd have any interest at all

i personally kind of want to know what all little buttons there are on an admin panel so i'd do it for that alone
