so it's got a thrustmaster setup

there's a window on the right side that shows you have a giant box on the robot's shoulder

and you sit so far back just so you can see a bunch of MFDs that tell you nothing important

omg so real

> equip mech pilots with augmented reality helmets fed by camera arrays from all around the mech's body
> change the cockpit's location to somewhere deep inside the mech
> gain 360° FOV, better situational awareness and increase pilot survivability :fukyu:

Every mech thing ever just uses monitors and not glass

I bet it's space glass

If they didn't have glass canopies how would players know they are choppers with legs

well the glass cockpits in Dougram were kind of a stylistic choice that invoked walking choppahs

especially with them rocket pods

one of the early designs for the Dougram itself had the head detach as a little flying VTOL thing :v

it's great how they mutated the Destroids into having glass cockpits like when they turned the Tomahawk's obvious face into a canopy due to bad tracing

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/File:3025_Banshee1.jpg

how many "original" humanoid designs just have generic black shades that i guess is supposed to be transparent

shitty printing technology in the 80's was not kind to shitty artists

everything has to be capable of being xeroxed because the TRO's don't give you enough info to make your own stat sheets by hand

I liked the Saturn games more but I appreciated the silly robot viewing mode

A robot running around a house was apparently Gameart's first working demo for the original game :prof:

yay I beat MW4 Mercs

the biggest challenge in the last level was coaxing my lancemates into sticking together when attacking because the map fucks with their pathfinding :v

so the beta is up

some guys on /m/ are posting 'bout it
So I'm running a Jenner with 6 flamers. This shit is so ridiculous.

I 1v1'd a Atlas and two catapults and killed all three of them.

Is the game as boring as expected, or is it actually worth looking in to?

i know. i just have this sick fascination with how long Battletech and MW are trying to hang onto novelty and keep up the blinders in their game design :hurfhurf:

The genre is defined by the franchise with the fewest games that made the fewest contributions :hurfhurf:
