Third Great SoCal Testingstan Meetup

#1 Post by Questor »

I'd like to propose the Third Great SoCal Testingstan Meetup for the Weekend of May 17th.

Anyone interested?

If the Legislature ends the Spring Session early somehow, I'll come down maybe.

Is it a matter of a couple of weeks? I'm not married to opening weekend.

I just thought that it was fitting, since the first meetup we coordinated of people who came to testingstan later was Trek 2009.

Let's see what the others say. I can see waiting that long to see Into Darkness.

I'll try to make it if it's fairly close to me. Now that I have a small child, I find it difficult to plan or travel, or do anything, really.

May 17th is so far away it may as well be meaningless, but I probably can.

I... Might actually be in SoCal at that time. Not 100% sure though.

Wow. I used to be at Edinger and Harbor, then at Ward and Slater. I had you bracketed. We probably hang out at a lot of the same places.

Harbor? Haha. The sizzler side or the taco bell side?

I don't know that I do much 'hanging out,' but I tend to get lunch in the costco plaza on the way home from work, or that taco bell. Gamestop and BofA on edinger and harbor are both 'mine', too. Also, Manna Donuts is a pretty great place.

I'm going to be working in San Fran the second half of June and the first two weeks of July.

I realize it's not 'SoCal' but it's closest I'll be to most of you.

So I'm going to be in Los Angeles the weekend of the 12th of April for a tournament. Anyone interested in getting dinner?

I'm game. Where in LA will you be? Would you prefer a vegan restaurant?

The tournament is at the University of LaVerne, and I'll be staying in that area. Any kind of restaurant is good, just as long as it's not a Texas Roadhouse or a place that basically only does burgers with different kinds of bacon. (Honest to fucking god, I can usually find something on the menu so don't bend backwards over me.) I need to get confirmation on the dates but I think I'll be in town from the 11th until the 15th (maybe a little later, depending.)

I think that's out by the Pomona Autoclub/Fair Ground. There should be some decent food out that way.
