It's really nifty, you just add a base element and it automatically calculates the shape of a fairing to cover anything above the base. The latest version even lets you choose between two types of fairing.
One thing I miss is a way to place a fairing between components. The current version covers everything above the base, but it'd be nicer to be able to put another stage above the fairing, à la the Apollo's covered lander underneath the CSM.
