Teaching Certification for the Terrible Student...

So, I'm still looking for a job after a really long fucking time. Engineering positions are, apparently, being REALLY fucking anal about specific experience. With that in mind, I thought that maybe getting my teaching certification would, at worst, help me get by until I could get back into an engineering position or, at best, provide a new career.
The things is, well, I mean I did graduate (twice), but I was also a poor student grade-wise owing mostly to severe test anxiety. I still feel like I can teach (math mostly, algebra in particular), but I need to find certification that will let me start while not being too anal about my GPA.
I don't suppose anyone can provide any insight?
