Okay Starkers and I keep hijacking other threads.
Here is todays efforts of Taking It Too Far
Haven't figured out yet how best to mount my Vulcan but I am scheming a bracket so I can mount it on the bathroom windowsill and provide cover for the driveway.

Sam and I got Nerf guns for Xmas.
We each got a Maverick. We shoot them at the front door, aiming for the eyehole.
Sam could shoot the fleas off a dog's back at five hundred yards. I can hit the door when I try.

I'm looking for a gun that will allow me to re-enact scenes from Robocop.
Anyone?

Which scene?
If you're planning on being Robocop... You've already got a Maverick.

I forget, is airsoft legal in AU as long as it's toyified? Because one of those would make an awesome Robocop gun.

Airsoft is legal... If you have a Class A firearms licence.

That sucks. Airsoft is pretty fun. Hurts like a bitch when you get hit, so that's a plus, too. What I find kind of funny is that if you were to pain the nerf gun in the first pic on the top of the rack black, it could pass for a rifle from not too far a distance, so I wonder how much longer that model will be legal.

Even without burst fire, is there something that doesn't need a second hand to reload?
Also, is the plastic strong enough for me to twirl it on my finger?

The battery ones make a gun like noise
Sherry reloads her praxis one handed like Sarah connor

Haha I did that once with a Recon and embedded the underbarrel taclight in the ceiling.
As for painting the plastic bit of the discs, one or two layers couldn't hurt much.

lets hope his plan is to arm his neighbourhood
otherwise he could be regarded as excessively completionist :V
hey tim i don't even see your nitron there
did you give it away?
sherry wants the stupid scope lol

Haven't mounted the green ones but I do have the whole range
Nitron is heavy, bulky, and the gimmicky scope is also heavy and thus wobbles on its mounts. Probably could do with a firmer coupling. As for usability, in bright ambient light it's hard to see the reticles, and in low light you won't see anything else.

My SIL and her hubby, who live in NYC, bought my 7-year old a Longstrike for Christmas. I think I love them both.
Next year he's graduating to a Red Ryder BB gun. I'm disappointed with the Longstrike's pneumatics.
