syndicate is pretty sweet

#1 Post by starku »

aside from the near-constant xbox locks i mean

the gunplay is neat, the game is hard, there's lots of teamwork stuff to do, the weapon upgrades work well (and are points rather than kill based so fuck you bf3)

best of all the 4 guys are just skins and not skillsets so you can do whatever you want which was my #1 concern

sadly the demo limits mean we can't level the belt-fed shotgun to 10ga and double-barreled :( :( :( :( :(

Sherry is literally better than 40% of fps players

Being confronted with the incompetence is refreshing

I seriously doubt that the majority of posters there are even old enough to remember the first.

Well if you want to kill the franchise/IP/thing then make it exactly like the original.

Finally got around to giving the demo a go, and once I got over the initial confusion, I loved it. Public games are a bit of a laugh, but even with all that bullfuckery* I was still enjoying myself. Movement/cover system and shooting feel really natural, and blend together so that the game feels like a good action movie or something.

*Seriously, these people play like sprint/crouch/jump/breach didn't exist. For christ's sake, there's more to the game than wandering into crossfire and dying.

oh shit dont look now my thread on teo got a reply and it was 80% 'i establish nerd cred by talking about an unrelated game from 20 years ago and have no friends'

karza are you on 360 or ps3

cause there are lots of people who play it on 360 on this very forum

and the game is like 1000x better if non-idiots (or even people who know what IMMUNE means)

*smirk*

that reminds me i gotta arrange a second import copy for sherry

in a semi-interesting thing i have seen in videos of other maps that the smg counts as a one-handed weapons (whereas the other rifles do not)

maybe this means its not totally worthless after all???

That chick on the posters... She has two SMGs, doesn't she ? Or am I confusing with another chick from another cyberpunk game ?...

...

Yes she does :

Could it mean that it is possible to dual wield them IG, or is just there for marketing purposes ?

I know what I said earlier about not buying the game before having played the demo but I'm curious though : are the pre-orders benefits only cosmetic and here for the bling, or is there something worthwhile in there ?
No.

even though you get damage poosts and shits

and man the acog on the battle rifle makes it totally sweet

Something like a router running pfSense or DD-WRT should easily be able to grab traffic from some IP and fling it over a VPN to somewhere without changing any of your computer stuff. Of course this requires some extra hardware, or you can do something similar if you can setup a VM and install that software. All you need todo is assign a static IP on the xbox make sure it is pushing traffic to the VM (ie the default gateway) on a different subnet than your normal network and then onto a VPN.

This of course assumes your console doesn't get blacklisted & banned for having games outside your blessed region.

It would probably be easier todo this on PC too :smug:

U a lie, STRAK. I'm told by Ricky that Lego Star Wars III the Clone Wars is superior to all other games ever and that I am to never ever play another game ever until we 100% LSWIII because it is the best.

Translation: I will be playing Lego until I'm dead and will never know the joy of playing fun vidjya games with other adults.

xon my router will do vpn tunnels, but i need an endpoint somewhere else and be fucked if i trust the dodgey websites that show up on googlez

also ms don't give a shit, and the oflc doesn't seem to care beyond 'keep it out of stores' because they could probably get ms to ban everyone who does it instantly if they wanted

LOL I have to date played almost 12 trillion hours of Skyrim. Confusing UI is what I DO.

Oh...Crap, I meant broken. I didn't say broken. I meant that, though.

Still, how bad could it be?
