The way I parse that is that "black teen" is modifying murderer.

In other words, they're saying that the black teen, zimmerman, was taken into custody.

Anyways, even if SW can only produce KT range firepower for it's lighter weapons and MT level for the big guns, that still puts it above anything the Yamato's got short of the Wave Motion Cannon, doesn't it? You're talking about a ship designed to be able to fight off multiple Kilometer-plus long warships and come out ahead. As for the lack of point defense, how many cosmo tigers does the Yamato carry anyways? 'cause I think they'd be pretty heavily outnumbered by the hundreds of TIEs an SSD can carry. They can't ram the bridge if they've been overrun and shot down.

But like you said it's irrelevant because the Yamato has the power of plot on it's side and that can't be quantified. If an SSD were going up against another EDF warship like the Andromeda, I'd give it to the Executor hands down, but the Yamato went against four carriers and got the shit bombed out of it and still won.
