I've finished that game 3 times and would love to get the other 4 endings.

I will, however, not play it on Hardcore. Normal's hard enough, even with the bullshit "cheat" I've found (it involves Daisojou and using a combination of "meditation" and "prayer" to keep everyone alive, along with Shiva having victory cry).

Daisoujou is easily the most unbalanced demon in the game. Stacking pretty much the best healing, expel, death and drain abilities in the game on a level 30 demon? Then have it immune to all ailments and insta-death abilities?

I tried playing the game through on hardcore. It's rather scary, especially when the high-end almighty skills start doing full damage to your party. Even with pretty much a full party of Fiends, the Beelzebub and Metatron battles were more or less a coin-toss of not getting one-shotted by a chain of their unique attacks. I gave up after getting pasted by Baal Avatar, I didn't feel like going back and trying to grind another five levels to stand a chance once she summons her little helpers.

I shudder to think of what Strange Journey's Hard Mode would be like. Asura Roga and Disaster Cycle are brutal enough as-is, and I don't see how they could make Mem Aleph and MA any rougher, apart from rigging the DS to electrocute you.

EDIT: Final boss's attack list:

Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind: elemental spells at about the same power as Megidolaon

Light, Dark: 100% effective expel and curse

Mother's Kiss: 4-8 hit massively powerful physical

Reason's Start: slightly heals boss and nullifies all buffs/debuffs

Great Flood: almighty damage to all and debuffs agility

Disaster Cycle: hits entire party with range of status effects

Asura Roga: rages entire party

Mem Aleph: instantly returns all demons of one alignment to storage

Her second form gets shifting resistances and

MA: instantly kills without recourse to expel or curse and heals boss for HP of target. Hope it fails.

Some day, when I've accomplished every other goal in my life, I'm going to go back and actually try and beat both the Demifiend fight from Digital Devil Saga and the Satan fight from Digital Devil Saga 2.

ummm...did Adam just troll his own board? I have the sneaking suspicion he's been Shroomicized to the quadruplespeak debate strategery.

Well, you are, according to Nocturne's mythos, fighting the one guy who can kill God.

boatman

"Acting against interests of == stealing property on a massive scale. And while I don't support propping up useful-idiot coupists as a response, the only reason that's done is because gunboating thieving governments is no longer acceptable.

The sad fact is there are a lot of honest authoritarians in the world and in most of it they run things."

Yeah, I honestly don't know how to respond to that. SHould I make the socialist argument that governments should act in the interests of their people and keeping people fed and off the streets >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the profits of United Fruits?

Or maybe I could approach with the example of Vietnam, invading a country because you don't like an election because the guys might not ally with you (I wonder why)?

Or maybe I should ask if he thinks we should have actually invaded Egypt over Suez?

Which country was it that the CIA coup'd a little while ago because they were going to raise the minimum wage?

As long as you don't use corrosive ammo (soviet surplus) I find it not to bad but if I do, the SKS piston has rusted to the gas tube by the time I get home.
