For fuck's sake, what did snakes ever do to you to deserve that? I'm no Aly, but lay off the poor things.
Re: Godammed SDN
Aly loves them more than people. I got $10 says he's got one up his butthole right now.

Look, you need to keep the royal family.starku wrote:the funniest part is acting like the royal family is a monarchy
neat trick since they do zero ruling :V
Because otherwise what would your tabloids have other than the British/Canadian/Aussie version of Paris Hilton and the Kardashians? At least this way you get THE ROYAL WEDDING OMG and Prince Harry in a Nazi costume. Which is way more classy because he's a legit prince rather than just having a rich daddy.
A rich daddy and a "leaked" sex tape, that is.
Re: Godammed SDN
oh god UK republicans
I can see where they are coming from since, you know, the queen represents entrenched interests and the overall shitty class distinctions and historic injustice enclosure act highland clearance etc etc
but I just don't get how anyone can really get worked up about the issue
so many more actually actively harmful things to worry about
That article is surprising, though, since the impression I get about the monarchy from most people is indifference rather than support. It's pretty funny, because all the soaps like eastenders are having street parties over the diamond jubilee, but in the actual east end, nope, nothing.

but does she
or is she just a rich landowner with broad and far reaching charity activities
this is what i mean when the idea of monarchial rule and the changing face of the british monarchy (largely impotent and hasn't ruled england for fucking ages) isn't the whole story to the lovely old woman whole generations remember doing nothing but being awfully nice to people

Thanks to you guys who jumped in that dumbass video thread.
Love how I'm being referred to when its pretty damn clear that no matter what that thing is a publicity stunt even if its a real proposal. So lame.
Thankfully spoonist is there to make sure someone rehashes broomsticks points and handwave away criticism.

i'm just sort of amused they jumped into evo-devo right away
Re: Godammed SDN
So, I went cold turkey from SDN (and reduced here) while on vacation.
I now look at it and say.... why did it take me so long?

It's interesting to go back after a lengthy absence. I no longer feel the need to buy into the group think and aggression, for example. After 9 months out, you also start to realize how many broken people hang out there.

bad: quoting yourself in your sig
worse: quoting another board user in your sig
worst: using the fucking quote tags in your sig

Re: Godammed SDN
I'd actually switch those first two. Quoting yourself in your sig is nearly identical to quoting another board user, but with more masturbatory self-congratulation.

Re: Godammed SDN
where does some context-less "badass" quote from dw fit into that spectrum
Re: Godammed SDN
perhaps but quoting another board user is often just a petty vendetta (edit: or worst the 'badass' quote lol)

No problem. I think the video is cool, but there was no doubt in my mind that it was done for internet hits and attention.Darth Fanboy wrote:Thanks to you guys who jumped in that dumbass video thread.

So the speculation now is that the Miami cannibal couldn't get his regular drugz and was smoking "bath salts."
WTF Bath Salts? Who, who, WHO had the time and motivation to put bath salts into a crack pipe and smoke it? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
