however i will remind you that 12 dollars or even 22 dollars for a project of this scale is a steal

and when the documentary is completed

you will deliver my burrito

or you will be banned
this thread is amazing

I don't know why, but every time I skim the titles, I always read this as "Support the Burrito Democracy."

Which makes me think this would be a wonderful civic experiment.

I have to question your qualifications on the subject of bad meximero food. Where did you study?

There's a Mad Mex over the road from Macquarie Uni. So that's a good lunch option.

On the down side, it's always full of students.

Totally unqualified! How can you possibly judge bad burritos if you haven't studied them in their native habitat? (southwest US)

Mad Mex is nice, but there's a High Tech Burrito on Glenferrie Rd near Swinburne which blows it out of the water. It costs a fair bit but all meat etc is cooked fresh, not from a bain marie.

My nearest Mexican place is owned by the same Indian community mogul that owns the Italian place, recent bought the Thai place, and clearly has his sights set on the Korean fish n chip

How oh why does an Indian run a Mexican food emporium? The spices are totally different. Blech. I'm thinking curry burritos and throwing up in my mouth. I hope they left the Thai place alone, pad thai is awesome good. I'm also guessing the Italian place stinks unless they have non-Indians preparing the food. And WTF are any of them serving beef?

yes. over here we have the various ethnicities serving up their food in restaurants and they're fuckin great. I would trust an Indian to give me a decent room for the night, but I wouldn't buy a burrito from him. Must be a cultural/immigration difference. Indians in the States tend to buy/run gas stations, hotels, and Indian restaurants, not Taco Bell or Cici's Pizzeria.

fuck you go to an ethnic restaurant in the us you asshole. I'm not criticizing. I like the differences. Would it make you feel better if I said papas restaurants are also generally owned by Argentinians and pasteles are also delicious? jesus, get a grip.

The joke is that this guy is a businessman
He owns the restaurants
He's a businessman and a community figure

I'm not sure this is somehow affecting the food produced there

I mean beyond racism which we all know is a big thing for chocs

I wonder how many shell companies would be necessary to prevent his name on a piece of paper somewhere affecting a restaurant

It's actualy funny with bigoty because he appends his name to each restaurant, which makes his personal brand important and makes each restaurant distinct from similar ones in the neighbourhood

Indians can't make gelati, lol
