I'm watching Roots.

I can see why it's held in such high regard.

Only if the glove don't fit. Does he wear a glove in Roots?

No. That would be a gift of clothing.

He plays a holy man of some sort. No gloves, but a neat looking toga and stick.

I remember that.

He's a funny dude in Naked Gun. Especially his first scene.

My favorite Simpson movie is the one where he kills his wife and some guy. He's going to be arrested but flees the area in a white bronco on a slow speed chase before being captured, tried, and ultimately found not guilty. Where the white women at?

I think we are the Zeta Gundam to SDNs original Gundam.

Or maybe we are the Dark Knight to SDNs Adam West era Batman.

Oooh! We are the Simpsons to their Tracey Ullman.

Holy shit, I'm of the opinion that anyone who isn't physically repelled by horror movies with some gore should try and see 'Isolation'.

It is essentially John Carpenter's 'The Thing' done with cows. And it is amazing.

It just goes to show that you can have a movie with an udderly (heh) ridiculous premise, a single location, and a cast limited to five people... but with believable characters, believable moody scenery (you can almost smell the rotting hay and manure), and properly executed tension and buildup, you can still make it a really good and terrifying watch.

It really depends on the type of gore for me. Slow torture makes me all squeamish, but a quick disemboweling? Meh.

Most all the human gore is post-death. Most of the rest is inside-out mutant cows squirming around and attacking people.

Post death doesn't really bother me much either; it's just the stuff in between that tends to make my stomach turn in knots. :colbert:

Better days, at least in the latter aspect.
Funny how he doesn't mention that he had already visited me three times, already had sex, phoned me nightly, and was already hinting that he wanted to move down here with me permanently.

I was 31, had been working for the State for 9months, and the StarKitty and TevKitty were not yet 1yr old. I was living in a studio attic apartment with no AC and walking to work daily (which meant I was in far better health).

Watch "A Serbian Film."

I'm kidding. I hear it is detestable on all levels.

I read the wikipedia article about it. Is there something special about Serbia that inures its citizens to such horrific criminality?

It's just commentary on Serbian culture, according to some involved making it. I mean, graphic depictions of pedophilia is some commentary! I've never seen it and I can't verify if that appears to be true or not. But people who have seen it told me it's a horrible, horrible movie.
