Indeed. I'm not sure they are legally allowed to refuse to fill a script here, other then safety.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
They can here. He's basically saying that I'm a drug abuser.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
Well, that's a valid concern with that but usually they give it to you anyways.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
Well what really burns my ass is that he wasn't even willing to give me enough to just get through until my provider came back.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
File a complaint with the college, maybe he'll get a boot in the arse.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
It's not a college it's my psych clinic. And I already spoke to the office manager. But I doubt it went anywhere. The thing is, I can't goto a new place due to my insurance.Aaron wrote:File a complaint with the college, maybe he'll get a boot in the arse.

I weaned of Efexor a while back. That was unpleasant. I couldn't ride the bus for fear I'd puke all over it.Aaron wrote:Yeah i weaned of over a couple months, its pretty unpleasant.
Re: Testing Chat Thread

Re: Testing Chat Thread
My Demography professor, while I was doing Geography last year, was really skeptical of the notion of "overpopulation" - not because it doesn't exist, but because 90% of the time people talk about it, it is used as part of an argument aiming to say "the asians/africans/brown people/poors should stop breeding like rabbits".
No.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
the concept of overpopulation of course exists, but i really hate the name: the actual problem behind it is overconsumption; having a large population isn't bad in and of itself
with the name 'overpopulation', you imagine the wrong problem which leads to the wrong solution. "population too high? easy just reduce the numbers"
so you look at the people with the highest birth rates and see about solving that: promote economic development to reduce the birth rate, pass out condoms, have some sterilization program, or euthanasia. personally when i'm faced with a question i always choose the final solution but whatever floats your boat
but the problem is that the problem isn't that the population is too high. the problem is that consumption is higher than production. nature's way of correcting this is often famine, but there's a lot of other options too.... and reducing population isn't even a very good one
we could increase production. SCIENCE has made a pretty good go at this and is a big part of why the world's population has increased so much in the first place. there is a problem with some of our specifics - using non-renewable stuff is only a short term increase - but we could fix that
and/or we could decrease consumption. this is why a big die-off works; reducing numbers do reduce consumption
...but in the human case, it is actually a minority of the population that does the majority of the consumption; it isn't the breeding like rabbits asians/africans/brown people/poors who are draining the non-renewable resources at an astonishing rate.
even if we waved our magic wand and took out half the world's population, leaving only thewhite enlightened population with birth rates at or below replacement.... it wouldn't actually solve our consumption > (renewable) production problem.
another problem in the real world is one of distribution, and that's what my link was talking about; even if we solved our consumption problem, it wouldn't necessarily solve the humanitarian problem because the resources aren't fairly shared. and there is a solution to that too without slaughtering anyone. x marx the spot. that happens to help fix the consumption problem too so i can sum it up in three words you know oh so very very well:
death to capitalism

As though somehow production wasn't at the core of why overpopulation is a problem

unsustainable production increases are a problem, but production increases in general are a solution as they can increase the carrying capacity.
this is why i mentioned resource depletion and the word 'renewable' in there

That would be most of them. You want to look for the word "Suite" in the chain's description of their rooms for a fridge and microwave.Zod wrote:Finally in Rochester. Also, what the fuck kind of hotel doesn't include a mini-fridge? Ugh.
Also: I hope you're ready for snow. Rochester gets a shitload of it, much more than Buffalo or Albany.
