Wanna play a campaign of WEG's Star Wars RPG?
Inspired by the Star Wars needs Hooked on Phonics thread. Who's interested?
Before anything else, I think if we do do this we should set aside a specific hour or two hour time every week to play online instead of trying to do this via a thread, because thread RPGs seem to regularly fail for a bunch of obvious reasons.

I'm up for playing something in the regions of a technician or smuggler type, depending on what sort of campaign we go for.

I'd also be interested. I could play the party droid (what kind of droid dependent on the other people in the party).
But I also agree that this should be done online, due to message board RPGs being a pain in the ass.

Agreed. How do we do that?

I also second Aaron's "how do we do this?" and also "how do I do SW RPG" since I only played once and that was on SDN.

Droid and Tech are gone? Those are literally my two favorite characters.
I'll see if I can find my copies of the rulebook and other starter books for you. Literally it's the easiest system I have ever known to use and to create characters in.
Before we figure out how we do this, we should probably figure out who's going to GM this?

I'm down for it.

I'm not interested in joining the campaign, but there are all kinds of ways to have PnP games on the internet, live. Skype/ventrillo/what-have-you, Google Hangout for free camera conferencing. Google docs for character sheets that the GM can access at any time.
Maptools is great if you want a virtual tabletop to horse around with, comes with dice macroing, chat logging, map creation. I know that AIM chatrooms can do basic dice rolling.

I just signed up for roll20.net a few weeks ago seems like a very solid purely browser based system.

I recommend a chat-prog with logging and dicerollers built in, then, for ease of use (i.e AIM or whatevs) and the ability to look back fondly. But if y'all aren't a bunch of cheating dickwads, you can just roll dice on your desk and call out the numbers, too, that's legit.

Then you are, statistically, a jerkbag.

And warping the laws of physics to boot, since WEG uses only six-sided dice.

Re: Wanna play a campaign of WEG's Star Wars RPG?
If we're doing this in a chat at a specific time, then Tuesday and Thursday night from about 8 or 9pm EST onwards are about the only time I can reliably ensure that i'd be on. My work schedule is fluid, so I don't know if i'll be working or not.

I'll do it if I have to, but I haven't GMed anything in a long loooong time and I'm not sure I'd be able to put as much effort into it as I need to.RogueIce wrote:I nominate you because it was your idea.Straha wrote:Before we figure out how we do this, we should probably figure out who's going to GM this?
Would Tuesdays at 9 EST work for everyone?

Tuesdays are no good for me. If that's the time that works for everyone else, I'll bow out.
Thursdays are fine, though.

Wednesday nights don't work, but every other night of the week should be okay. I'm in EST.

Thursday is actually best for me, since I don't have my 6:00PM class. Anytime after 6 on Thursdays is fine with me.

Here's what we'll do.
Go to the poll I've linked below and pretend that options aren't tied to specific dates, but instead represents a generic Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. and fill out the times best suited for you. Also, please act as if it's East Coast time and not whatever local time you happen to live in.
Failure to abide by these guidelines will result in punishment.
