Yeah I really don't like them and hope you don't associate me with them.

Sorta like how I hope you don't associate my Christianity with fucking Westboro Baptist Church, I suppose.

Gun control is one thing, but that's just foaming at the mouth.

God no. I loathe the CPC, especially as they seemed determined to fuck me and my fellow vets at every opportunity.

I didn't know you were a Christian but as long as you don't try and impose it on me, do what you want.

Half the reason I may come across as something of a misanthrope is because people are just so fucking frustrating.

Believe it or not, I actually want them to be happy. I also don't want them fucking each other over so I'm left advocating ubiquitous surveillance if they really want to be able to do whatever without having to plow through heaps of bureaucracy. :smug:

But then they don't want that, either. In fact, they hate it and they find the very idea abhorrent it seems. That, and any sort of accountability for anything, really. :smugissar:

Heh, and then there's goddamn Locke telling everybody they're inherently good when 1.2 million people die in traffic annually because some "alpha" males (that is, people too stupid to think far enough ahead to have doubts about anything they say) have to drive themselves to work in cars that they can't legally use to their full capability but try to anyway so they can make it to work faster. :failure:

Man I could go on for fucking pages. :hurfhurf:

seems to me the reason you might come across as a misanthrope is because you are in fact a misanthrope

in the buddhist vein of things it can be said that these folks just lack awareness of the self or of others or of the world or of all these things

that's the thing with life, trying to understand, and then trying to deal with the understandings understood

Well yeah, I mean, my best friend totally blew me away the other day when I found out that he thinks the moon landings were faked.

I was just so let down that I couldn't even bring myself to argue with him. :failure:

Or maybe that's a load of horseshit and awareness of others and self are precisely why I'm distrustful.

Dude, I shouldn't have to provide a list of my sexual partners. to get a gun license. nor should i be required to wave my right to a search warrant.

oxy

its not rly the arrogance, its the ignorance that's astounding

since the french generally back up their arrogance by knowing their shit or being competent, at least

I would never support either of those unless somebody could demonstrate conclusively that they have anything to do with firearms (because they don't, near as I can tell). What makes you think I would?

Yeah you know that filter between my brain and the keyboard

it was clogged

But really, it's not like anybody's going to agree with me anyway, so why bother?

Well the surveillance wouldn't be available without a warrant, and the only way to get at it would be either with your permission or if somebody died in your house or something. And police officers would be under more scrutiny than you. Stuff in that vein.

EDIT: no worries. :brah:

From my point of view, the problem is not others agreeing with you or not,

it's you refusing to agree with others.

Or more exactly, staying set on your position(s) like a tick on a dog's ballsack.

This, for others, make it seem that discussing with you is as productive as trying to play Vivaldi's Four Seasons by pissing on a violin.

A friendly advice, and a mental exercice you should try more often : when discussing something with someone(s), do not go with the assumption that your own position is the correct one.

Trust me, not only does it improve the overall quality of the discussion, it's also very liberating intellectually.

you know I get really fucking tired of cleaning up piss and shit EVERY FUCKING DAY

it is annoying enough to be up at 7:00. poor sleep maeks me irritable

and then when the fucking child spray his god damn piss all over the floor just because he got this idiotic idea that it is acceptable to pee standing up

and then shits his pants because he just didn't feel like going to the bathroom until the crap was already hanging half out

it makes me really fucking mad

his little brother doesn't make these messes (except when he's sick but that's excusable)

why can't big brother
