Not that I a fan of the show, but I have to say I don't share your opinion of the visuals. The look of the show is pretty good IMO.

So they put the 2 girls 1 cup guy in jail, apparently. :neckbeard:

I mean, I can't say I'm unhappy to see him punished for producing something like that

otoh I'm pretty sure he's within his rights to

so there's probably something fundamentally wrong with that particular fundamental right, necessitating reform to account for this sort of thing

maybe? no? :psyduck:

Just once i'd like them to make an episode about Obi-Wan and Anakin that's as cool and engaging as the ones about Maul and Savage. I don't think they've done that since the Geonosis arc back in season 2.
I thought Slaves of the Republic was really, really well done. Especially the second episode, I was so engaged in it I was literally surprised when the credits hit and didn't know 22 minutes had passed by. That and Obi-wan the Bounty Hunter, especially Anakin's reaction to Kenobi's "death" and the fight between Anakin and the disguised Obi-wan. I'd say good Kenobi/Skywalker moments were also in that Mortis arc, especially the fight between the two and a corrupted Ahsoka.

I think their most standout episodes are when they keep focus on the Clones though. The Umbara arc, the Battle of Kamino, Rookies, Innocents of Ryloth, Gregor being so fucking awesome, etc.

They do some pretty awesome villian episodes, too. Like this one. Obvious setup for the rest of the arc but damn son what a ride. I loved the way they dispatched the Black Sun council.

Overall I can't say I have many complaints. I mean, they can do some good comedy episodes, but stretching that into a four episode arc was a big mistake on their part IMO, and really brought the season to a screeching halt. It probably wasn't helped by doing the Youngling arc right before, and while those episodes were good they were also pretty light-weight compared to what this show has done and the places they've gone. TBH had they done that arc right after, say, Umbara, "Droids" might have come across a bit better as a nice breather after the really heavy stuff from Umbara.

Got the Devil May Cry reboot, played it all the way through, working my way through the harder difficulty levels.

I have to say, all my earlier misgivings turned out to be wrong, and this game is possibly the best installment in the franchise.

Even better is watching the fat-explosion from disgruntled fanboys when people have the temerity to say they actually like the game.

I'm plotting game purchases for cancon, one of which is the German board game Die Macher.

Best review of it:

"I've played Die Macher three times now in my life and I feel that I've accomplished something with this feat. The game is heavy, long, German, and the rules are rough to navigate and filled with Comic Sans font."

Speaking of games, I haven't yet played Halo 4 and I have no idea when I will, if ever. That said, I can easily listen to this for hours on loop and not get tired of it:

And I can make this claim because I've actually been doing that all night.

That's one of the weirdest music videos I've seen in quite awhile.

It's okay but dunno if I'd listen to it for hours and hours. The beginning had a very nice ethereal feel to it but the main part was...well it was good and I would not be averse to listening to it again but it's just not quite my cup of tea.

I actually like the general style, it's just something in that one song seems slightly off to me. Not enough to make me say it's bad or even say it isn't good, because it is. But just some slight thing that doesn't make me want to stick it on a loop and leave it running. I can't put my finger on it, though.

i saw the amazing spider-man and i thought it was pretty rad

it was perhaps a little unfocused which i believe to be the result of cut scenes and the like

but i liked the overall product and it gained a lot of strength towards the end

also it didn't have peter watching his neighbour undress through the window which is always important in a spider-man adaptation, so well done all

That could've just been the particular arc you watched. There have been a few stinkers. Most of the eps are at least watchable if not fun, and a rare few story lines have been truly excellent.

Anything involving politics or that tries to portray some sort of social message is to be avoided like the goddamn plague. The writers really do not know what they're doing with those episodes and everything comes off really forced.

Yeah I didn't rate it - certainly not next to the first one, which was awesome. I dunno, I think they really took heed of the original being derived from old sci-fi serials and used that to drive the story. Which I don't think necessarily suits the material in this case.

It's pretty good, definately gets stronger as they went on.

Watch Rookies or the Battle of Kamino episodes. Actually look them up, watch the one where they train, then Rookies, then the actual Battle of Kamino which makes for a good arc. The way they skip around can be kinda off-putting early on in that respect.

I would've told you to watch Geonosis or Umbara first but no sense ruining everything else you'll watch after. :v
