Mother May I: It is a sickening thing, the succubus,
a demon driven by Lust, yes, but often for a
very damning purpose: to have a child. By stealing the
semen of sleeping men, the succubus could impregnate
herself with a child born of true sin. Here, the Possessed
with this Vestment gains +3 Social rolls when
dealing with children. They find the character very...
parental. A dark irony, indeed.

As for changing breeds, I didn't find Nuwisha too bad, but that's probably only because I was going to be in this one werewolf campaign where I was a Nuwisha pretending to be a werewolf on a dare. I had worked out an agreement with the storyteller where I would be given extra renown based on how long I was able to keep the rest of the party from figuring out what I was, and probably would have gotten extra points if I managed to convince the pack to make me the Alpha at some point. It's unfortunate the campaign fell through so I never got to play the character.

The mechanics range from all right to overpowered/near-useless (like the elephant and rhino ones that need 29 agg to kill with the ability to trivially make it essentially impossible for ordinary characters to do more than one or two bashing at a time), it's mainly the fluff, which ranges from ridiculous to contemptible.

Re: Godammed SDN
Yeah. Nuwisha fluff is pretty bizarre. The character just fit well into the campaign arc. The story was basically fighting Nazis and vampires and Nazi vampires in 1930s Egypt. Most of the PCs were based on characters from either Indiana Jones or The Mummy (with my character concept being Indiana). So it was silly and over the top, and someone was probably taking the piss out of someone else, which fits well with the Nuwisha fluff.

Hey Q:
I would like a spell that I can slowly use to turn my absolutely massive D&D (all editions but 4th), D20 System and Pazio Sourcebook books, or printed copies of the contents, into 'real versions of them'.
i.e the Spell COmpendium would become a massive book (or books), with a working copy of each spell in it that can be used to study and learn the spell, or as a spellbook by the caster.
i.e Complete Arcane would become a book series that included instruction manuals for training people to use the various prestige classes and feats within it, a spellbook with all the spells, discussions of summoning the monsters within, magic item creation instructions, etc.
Obviously, I would expect such a spell to adapt/correct the contents to function within the 'system rules' of this scenario, and anything that Q didn't want to function in it, wouldn't appear. (i.e no Kissed by the Ages).
or they could all transform, and Q can simply go 'they'll work elsewhere, but not here on Earth, including if you cast them offworld and try to bring the results back'
This would give us the means to protect earth from extra-planar interaction eventually, and give us a major, major bonus when dealing with them.
i.e I take the resulting spell books, copy them, and then go sell them to the "Order of the Book" or groups of good wizards (i.e the Harpers in the Realms, the Circle of Eight in Greyhawk) in exchange for say, magical items, reprogramable constructs, and the like.
Things we can't get on Earth right now, as it's basically day 4 or 5 of the existence of magic, and getting up to that point on our own could take a long time.

Yep, you can cultivate marijuana on your demi-plane. And yes, you can populate your demi-plane with extinct and exotic animals.

Solauren wrote:I'm not sure anyone wants to turn their demiplane into a ball of fire.
Unless we start using Genesis (Manual of the Planes, Sorcerer/Wizard 9) spells to make them that is.
The only other option might be Portals to the Elemental Plane of Fire, but I'd like to avoid letting Fire Elemental beings come into this world, thank you very much.
We could also make a fortunate as Hydroelectric power providers.
Open a portal at the bottom of a big tank of water (say 2,000,000 gallons), so the water comes out and spines turbines.
At the end of it, instead of an exit back into nature, there is another portal that leads back to above the water tank, constantly refilling it.
So long as we get a Decanter of Endless Water (Which I can make), we're good to go on that too.

Forgothrax wrote:As for our constitution, I think we should have all the dragons capable of casting 9th level spells band together and build a new demi-plane via Genesis that is built as our meeting place. It should be the responsibility of the Elder dragons to maintain this place as neutral territory for meetings. All dragons should be required to attend such meetings so that we might make decisions as to our disclosure.
Now, for disclosure. What we need to do immediately, once every dragon is accounted for and all have met, is to plan for our eventual disclosure to humanity. Let's face it-- most of us are still going to retain social habits from decades of human existence, at least for some time-- eventually our new draconic instincts might make us separate more and more from others, but for now, we're going to want to at least be able to walk Terra as we really are. I think our top priority is infiltrating human governments and the more powerful corporations at a high level in order to shape laws and policy to accomodate us. While we're at it, we can also start making choices that benefit humanity (fixing the economy, booting out the corrupt, cleaning up various crap). We can also stop most wars and demilitarize polities gradually.
It's going to take a long time for humanity to be ready for us... but in fifty years, when we open ourselves up to the world, we can bring with us literal tons of scarce resources, magic/technomagic in order to fix problems the laws of the universe create, and for the first time in history a government that serves the people. We can build a real, true, golden age for humanity.
Now, for answering questions:
-If you want to take a draconic type with lower CR, you can. If it's not a metallic/chromatic, though, you need to ask Q (me).
-You can build sentient constructs, yes, though they're very expensive and time-consuming.
-Wondrous items are miscellaneous and fall into all sorts of categories. They range from amulets or small pieces of jewelry that enhance certain saves or attributes to boots that give you the ability to sneak super-well or run super-fast to really strong glue. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm if you want to learn more.
-Staves are more for spells that you don't use a lot but want handy when you really need them. I always built more wands because I prefered to spend my cash/XP on spells that I used frequently so I could save my spell slots for utility purposes or for spells that needed max caster level for effectiveness. Staves are also quite expensive once you finish packing spells into them. Up to you, though.
-You can enchant modern weapons, yes. Super-sharp is on the table if you want it. Magic ranged weapons tend to enchant their ammo, which has various advantages.
-Rings share different enchants than weapons and armor, and because you can only wear so many pieces of armor, rings give you the option of additional enchantments.

it's that so many o them never even get past the 'bicker about rules for 100 pages' phase
