generic vidja gaems
Re: generic vidja gaems
Haven't finished the game yet, but it's pretty safe to assume everyone's spirit is pretty thoroughly broken at this point, and they're only continuing through sheer moral(e) inertia (for the 33rd) and survival instinct (for everyone).
No.

You have to find Konrad!

Well, I think it's official now
I can't play shooters for more than ten / fifteen straight minutes at a time.
Explain why I have so much of them sitting on my "to finish" list.

I may have been quoting a loading screen (which may have been one of my favorite parts of the game).

Next time you want to buy a game you know you probably won't play send me $60 instead.Oxymoron wrote:Well, I think it's official now

Re: generic vidja gaems
It's just with shooters. They... how to put it... put me into sensory overload. It's tiring.
And fyi, in that case it was less than £6 for three games (Spec Ops and Bioshock 1 & 2).
I get my games on the cheap, the only exception being the big titles I know I'll play / finish. The advantage of PC gaming

Re: generic vidja gaems
I picked up Mass Effect 3 and a points card (for DLC) today. Finally going to wrap up the story of my Shep. Looking forward to it. And also to seeing how the MP is, as people are very into it.
*edit* Looking at the infographic from a week or two ago though, I'm shocked that I was so far in the minority on playing as Engineer though.

The number of people who play maleshep soldier and then never finish the game absolutely dwarfs literally every other type of player that exists for that series.

soldier is the default class and also the most boring

Re: generic vidja gaems
Did they fix the shooting mechanics for ME1 in the Trilogy re-release, or are they still shit?
Re: generic vidja gaems
it's heavily story-based, then?
Actually, i think I got it for my littlest brother for his last birthday, maybe I can borrow it off him for a while

Re: generic vidja gaems
By borrow do you mean steal with the vague intention of returning one day?
Or maybe that's just the way my family operates.

I remember when I "borrowed" my friends copies of Warcraft I and II like that. Kept them for a couple of months, maybe even a year.
Then when I asked him if I could borrow Starcraft he said no.

Re: generic vidja gaems
Easier to ask forgiveness than permission.
Re: generic vidja gaems
Don't get me wrong though, by "steal" there's no malice involved. It's just that, when asked the answer is pretty much always yes so sometimes we just skip the formalities. And the intention to return is genuine it's just that when the borrower goes to the borrowee they forget to bring it with them, and even when the borrowee visits the borrower and could get it that way, the borrowee forgets to grab it so the borrowed item tends to stay with the borrower until the borrowee really wants it for some reason and makes the actual effort to remember to ask that it be brought over (the day of) and/or just goes and picks it up.

I'm so happy GoG has that. Imagine playing TIE Fighter, but you have a limited weapons load and you have to manage your own sonar sensors and noise profile as well as worrying about things like thermal layers, terrain, depth/pressure.
I fucking loved that game so hard. I am intrigued to see how it holds up.

One of the early missions involved busting a pod of whales out from a whaling fleet and escorting them to safety.
