Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
While wandering Hawthorn (a few train stops away) to get to a hardware store on Sunday I discovered an amazing thing - there's a Freerange Butcher there. This place: http://canningsfreerangebutchers.com.au/
More pricey than even our regular good butcher, but with their ethical standards that they hopefully hold to, I'll be willing to spend the money here. AND HOLY SHIT THEY DO ONLINE ORDERING/HOME DELIVERY.
Like I said, I don't hold the moral objections to meat that Straha and others do, but I do try and hold my purchasing habits to a standard of sustainability and animal welfare.

Did you know that every time you purchase an indie game on Steam, Gabe Newell stabs a cow to death?

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
So tonight's season finale of NCIS had the best guest star ever: RADM A.J. Chegwidden, USN, Ret. Man that was a shock when he showed up. And not just the actor but the same character.
I honestly was not expecting them to reference JAG considering they're going on 11 seasons and already have a spinoff and probably another one on the way, but holy shit, they did it. And I am most happy.

I keep expecting Harm or Mac to show up as a murder victim of the week.
Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
Nah, they're too badass for that. Maybe Bud, though I'd feel kinda bad if he did.
Besides, we all know they'd never want to answer the question of who just won that coin flip, which would likely happen if those two ever showed up.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
It ended on the lamest most bullshit fake out cliffhanger i've ever seen so you really didn't miss much.
Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
Eh, I wouldn't say that. I mean it's pretty obvious he's most likely shooting at whoever was getting out of the car, not the person he was last seen aiming at.Darksi4190 wrote:It ended on the lamest most bullshit fake out cliffhanger i've ever seen so you really didn't miss much.
That said it's going to depend on how the series premiere handles it. If they show us what exactly happened in those four months and what leads up to that (the Navy SEAL Captain from the episode is the one telling Gibbs to "finish it" which would indicate an awful lot has happened, since it seemed that he was sending Gibbs on the mission, not going along as well) it'll be pretty good, I think.
But we'll see whenever the next season begins airing.
Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
I just looked it up on wikipedia, and I can't believe it went for that long
I remember that it used to be way popular when I was in year four and it premiered. Lots of my friends all had aspirations of being air force guys, so they watched the handful of episodes they had over and over.
australian regional tv is awesome

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
NCIS or JAG?
Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
i hope they do something with the tony/ziva ust before too long. i thought they were maybe going to in the last episode i watched then BAM attempted murder by automobile. i watched the part 2 next week and blargh, same as the hundred other times they've hinted at changing that status quo.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
They sort of address it in the season finale though I'm sure whenever the series ends and/or one of the characters leaves they'll finally "get together" like in JAG.

Man if they're still doing that shit then "too long" was four fucking seasons ago.adr wrote:i hope they do something with the tony/ziva ust before too long.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
In other TV news, I just found out they're bringing back 24.
I'm conflicted about it. I enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but once you've done the "24 hours in real time" premise a couple of times it really gets stale. I mean just what else can they do to Jack Bauer?

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
Well, it is Kiefer Sutherland, so they could always do a reenactment of his drunken fight with a Christmas tree.
Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
prolly but i didn't even watch the show before about 2010 at all (i started watching it as reruns on USA around then and even now watch new episodes live only when my tv is already on and nothing else is)Darksi4190 wrote:Man if they're still doing that shit then "too long" was four fucking seasons ago.
so my perception of in-universe time is a lil skewed.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
Oh man that would be an awesome plot for the new season. Christmas trees have achieved sentience, and are enraged at the fact that they've been cut down and displayed in our homes for generations. Now they want revenge and are sending crack teams of suicide tree-bombers to malls across America. At one point Bauer must torture a Christmas tree with a chainsaw.Losonti Tokash wrote:Well, it is Kiefer Sutherland, so they could always do a reenactment of his drunken fight with a Christmas tree.
Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
Well they are doing twelve episodes so it won't be in real time.Darksi4190 wrote:In other TV news, I just found out they're bringing back 24.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope
What if it's 12 two hour episodes?
Yes I know it really isn't but fuck them for not thinking about it.

Doesn't one of you bastards live in Texas?

I was born there. But I'm no bastard. Well, not in the literal sense anyway.Losonti Tokash wrote:Doesn't one of you bastards live in Texas?
