Ah. I'd agree with you there. Sephiroth had some pretty good visuals, but that's to be expected because his game had better tech to it; I wonder what the whole End of the World of Balance thing would look like if they remade it for the PS3...B-A-K-U-S-T-R-A wrote:Well, that phrased it poorly- I meant to say that Sephiroth has, at best, all the depth and characterization of Kefka without the good lines.
Then again, I prefer his SNES sprite over the artwork for Kefka. Granted it's kinda similar, but it's also kinda not.
And of course Sephiroth getting George Newbern as a VA for Advent Children/Kingdom Hearts (dunno which was first) onward gives him an extra +100 in Badass. I've never played Dissidia or watched any videos from it on YouTube, so I don't know how well the English VA for Kefka works for him now that he actually has one.
Cefca? What is this I don't even...B-A-K-U-S-T-R-A wrote:Oh, no, what it got was a translation which called Kefka "Cefca" and cut out all the cool lines that make people like Kefka. I think it might have had some swears but I'm not sure. Basically the only good fan translation is the one for Mother 3, because it was a professional doing it because he loved the game.
Damn fan translations. I'll check out Mother 3 one of these days I guess; the sheer quirky fun of Earthbound/Mother 2 was enjoyable enough for me to give the sequel a shot. Whenever I care enough to go looking for it.
