Shep: Grand champion of SDN. He got everyone to cover him while he trolled to his heart's content. Then went of his own accord.

I once plugged "shep" "banned" and some other stuff into the SDN search, and it was always funny to see either the mods impotently posting, or DW basically going "meh".

I just cannot figure out the degree to which DW looked the other way with Shep. If it had been up to Rob he'd have been shitcanned ages ago.

Anyway what did set Shep off and compel him to leave in a huff?

I think he got bitched at pretty hard when he purged testing and destroyed some content heavy threads in there yet saved the one where he was being a racist ass and I got in trouble for calling him out on it.

Yeah, good luck with that. SDN is the common thread among a plurality, if not an overwhelming majority of this board. The only way you're going to completely remove it from conversation is burning down the forum, salting the URL, dispersing us for four generations and hoping our descendents don't find the secret vault containing the only remaining copy of the Libris Infernus de Ti-Iy-Oh when they make their centennial pilgrimage back to this corner of the internet.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm back in school for the first time in nearly a decade, going through an 'accelerated program', which is a really nice way of saying "We're going to slam you with work and stress until about 90% of your class drops out," for an Associates in Veterinary Technology. It's the happiest and most driven I've been in years.

Why is Metahive the boogie man of the month now, when people pooh-poo SD.Net? He always seemed like a fairly laid back and bright person, though what's gone wrong with now in recent months is (IMO) he's gradually transforming into a mini-Thanas (cooped up in the History sub-forum a bit too long).
