I think that BBC radio stuff is available without region restrictions, but I don't know whether I heard that from somewhere or I imagined it or whatever.
I can hear it, so I must be British enough.

Shit like this makes me want to do something other than teaching, because I honestly think the U.S. is done as a country at this point and an American teaching certificate with a Major in History and a Minor in English won't mean shit anywhere else in the world.

so you guys have seen star wars, right? you know that part where ben is like "these aren't the droids you're looking for"

i wonder if that power could help people quit smoking. like what's the relative influence of chemical dependence and force persuation?

Maybe you'd get Force Cancer. That'd be nasty.

I always thought it was hilarious that some dude was trying to peddle drugs to a guy very obviously dressed in a Jedi "uniform."

It'd be like trying to sell crack to a guy with an FBI badge and a gun hanging from his belt. That dealer was just lucky Obi-Wan had something better to do.

so i'm playing a little perfect dark and you know what's best about this game? the random guard's voices

you can disarm them and they often surrender and say things like "please don't shoot... i'm only doing my job"

and in at least one level, you can shoot a guy through a door and another guy runs up to him and sometimes just screams "nooooooo!!" and stuff like that....

but i just heard a different line from that guy: "eh i never liked him anyway". who would say that??!?! you might feel that way, but he just got shot right in front of you, aren't you at least concerned about where the bullet came from?!?!

but hey at least it makes the enemies feel a little more alive you know

this is still the finest shooter ever made

Medal of Honor on the PSone is still one of my favs for A.I behavior.

Enemy soldiers will go for your grenades and kick them back at you. Sometimes they misjudge it.

Enemy dogs will also play fetch with grenades, to the detriment of whoever threw them.
