Man why does Japan keep destroying Australia?

Gundam did it. Dragonar did it too.

Because it's there?

I mean, why not destroy Australia?

Major media companies where locked in at sane rates and terms from Netflix's end. But when the contracts came up for renewal, they started adding zeros to how much netflix would need to pay.

I think for what Netflix was paying 10-20 million for would cost almost a billion to keep the streaming rights for whatever the timeframe was.
Well that's just silly. Not surprising, though.

Which is why I guess I've seen the people post those "please don't request/petition for these, you'll only make it worse" threads. Because I imagine if the rights holders saw that extra demand, they'd just keep adding zeroes and it'll never get back on Netflix.

As written in the Secret Apocrypha of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Angels will begin arriving partway through this year. It was nice knowing you, setting aside for a moment that Tasmania was destroyed 14 years ago in Second Impact :v
I was thrilled that it happened on my birthday

But Tasmania wasn't actually destroyed at the time of Second Impact
As with all other things, they're a bit behind and will catch up in 20 years or so :v

Applying the sensibilities of a standard children's adventure film to Northern Lights was just such a terrible idea. Whatever cocaine-snorting crab-man who thought softening the over-the-top anti-religious sentiment was a good idea should be taken out behind the chemical sheds and shot. And the girl playing Lyra just isn't able to carry the part (I can't blame her for that, though, since it would require top-notch directing to get a decent performance of Lyra out of even the best child actor, and I wouldn't use the phrase 'top-notch' in relation to any part of this film).

His Dark Materials was to me what Lord of the Rings or Star Wars or even Harry Potter seems to be to lots of other nerds (i.e. probably the most defining work of art for me as a child), and the ending of the first book was an especially powerful part of that, so the fucking butchering of it the film partook in is an especially grievous crime. Whichever drug-addled crab-man who came up with that jolly jape should be skinned and salted and left in the desert for the vultures to finish.
It certainly speaks to the film's quality that it had Sam Elliott as a cowboy with an airship and an army of polar bears led by Sir Ian McKellen and it still flopped.

I went to this ping pong bar saturday night

roof collapsed on the table where I was playing next day

in hindsight the water coming down the walls was probably a sign

Plotting the yearly trip to Canberra, but now we're staying in a serviced flat with a bunch of people. We're doing the trip on the cheap, as my new job is still picking up steam. 2 students a week right now.

I was thinking what such a thing would be. I figure concrete tables, and tiled floors so the inevitable drunken accidents are cleaned easily. I call it: Mick's (And Tim's if you're up for it) Table Tennis and Beer Shed.

We'll make millions.

amazing i have like a hundred questions

and like a thousand answers

EXAMPLE QUESTION
"What is the best way to go about getting my girlfriend's ring size in preparation for my proposal?"

my answer

engagement rings are bullshit. good sir you are a SLAVE to the BOURGEOISIE. the diamond industry has implanted the LIE that rings matter. THEY DON'T.

PS they're ALL blood diamonds. how do i know? the artificial scarcity of the legal ones drives up the prices of the ILLEGAL ones. if the price wasn't so high it wouldn't be worth MURDER

* * *

in related news don't you find the whole engagement ritual to be a bit silly anyway? liek i have a friend right now who is going through it

she obviously knows it is all coming

yet her boyfriend is all like "i have to wait for the perfect moment"

wtf yo

in my fanfiction, the author insert was just chilling with his future wife and was all liek "we might as well get legally married" and she was like "cool we'll do it when we land"

(it ended up being like a week after they landed cuz it takes a little time to get the necessary SAM sites, superiority fighters, and orbital anti-ballistic missile systems in position to secure the journey of the families coming together so they don't get drone bombed en route but that's just a practical necessity. nobody in their right mind would have a wedding nowadays without inviting a friendly air force division)

no bullshit

no useless expense

yes anachronistic legal bindings brought on by conservative societal pressure. wait what
